Don't know if any of you had realise this but, if you open their Japanese OHP's Member Diary - the latest entry was a message from Ruki! It was written on Feb 4th, and the message started with a huge "THANX".

I couldn't figure what he was saying in that message. Someone pls translate it? ;_;

Lol, that translation is actually suprisingly good for an online translator, at least you can understand it! Those machines come out with the weirdest things sometimes...

@gazetto0o: If you want CDs www.CDJapan.co.jp or www.yesasia.com are probably the best places to start, they have most of their stuff, and if you order a couple (over a certain amount, can't remember how much..) then yesasia has free shipping

gazetto0o, I order most of my japanese cds on cdjapan. But you can also choose HMV Japan, since:
1. It's cheaper than CDjapan and Yesasia (even if with Yesasia's free shipping).
2. Their shipping cost is cheaper than CDjapan as their EMS = CDjapan's Airmail (and EMS is their only mode of shipping) Since their only mode of shipping is EMS, it is guaranteed fast and secure. (The fastest time I got my orders was just 2 days after it was shipped)
3. Discounts and promos. If you got 100 points = 2500 yen discount (well you can easily get points as they always have double points system for new stuffs)
4. You can get first press freebie that other online stores don't have sometimes (especially if you preorder at earlier time)

But the bad things are:
The bad things
1. The packaging - as they only use bubbled envelope compared to CDjapan's box + if there is a freebie poster, they fold it.
2. You can't pay using Paypal/other modes of payment as they only accept Credit/Debit cards
3. Their shipping time sometimes get stuck on "In Transit" status for a few days. They have inconsistent shipping time.

Those were based on a friend's experience. And personally he loves HMV Japan. =D

^hmmm I've had bad experiences with HMV....but I guess in some ways, it's my fault, but I didn't like the shipping company they used to send it....purolator or smth.....they cause so many people so much trouble here

I often get cracked cd cases when I order at yesasia, then again, yesasia doesn't offer free shipping, the prices of their cds/dvds are higher than CDjapan so if you order at CDjapan + shipping costs price will be the same as yesasia sometimes a dollar more expensive or cheaper, it really doesn't matter that much. I ordered at HMV sometimes, they have great rare stuff still available which is pretty cool, but I think the EMS shipping thing sucks, packages from hmv/cdjapan/yesasia will reach you safely, you don't need EMS for that, therefore it depends on what country you live in, because EMS takes 6 days for me, while SAL (which is the cheapest shipping method) takes 7, so whats the difference, except for a lot of money.. The point system at HMV sucks aswell, it takes really long before you get enough points, specially if you just order one time, I like CDJapan point system much better... then I ordered at Play-Asia aswell, they sometimes have very rare stuff still in stock, their shipping is cheap and fast ^^
