i don't like the change being done to the name.. >.>;; .. the Gazette.. isn't that a newspaper from Montréal, Québec? .. i find Kai's dirty feet a lil shocking for the clean-above-ankle. anyways.. i hope i will like all their new songs ^^

honesty i think its kind of clever....because then whenever someone googles gazette they will also see fan sites of Gazette and the word will be spread in more than one way.
but it also makes it a real pain to separate them from teh newspaper. I'm sure that their new songs will keep getting better and better or maybe i'm too optismistic cause i finally got some sleep...but now i wanna start a band...anyone up for it?

Mmm, hmm. I happen to agree full heartedly. I mean for someone like me who's just beggining to learn about them googling stuff was kind of irritating because I kept running into newspapers all the time. That and I think it sort of gives them a flair : they're not *just* a Gazette....they're THE Gazette. And I think the capitilization only helps this, it frames it drawing attention to their name. Kind of cute if you ask me.

yes, yes.. i remember once i watch tv and the person in it was reading newspaper.. and their it was.. "gazette", big and clear on the front page.. i laugh out load..
and their is another time i was searching for Gazette's pictures because i dont know how do they look like.. and then when i click search.. all newspaper and news headline came up.. heck

lol .. Gazette newspaper started in 1841 or so, but anyways, much earlier than this band.. so i'd be quite irritated if they were trying to prove a point that THEY (the band) are THE gazette, when this newspaper started first.. when i first heard of this band, i immediately thought of the newspaper >.> so i thought that the band's name was kind of silly..

Yeah, that's what I thought too, followed by gazebo, but I guess that's just me.

And I suppose alot of things are funny about JRock from an american point of view. Everything from names to the mulets they all seem to sport, but from a diferent cultures point of view that's probably missing info on some of it and how it's perceved in different countries and therefore free to develope their own nation reaction and ID to it, I'm sure it seems quite natural.

I don't think they actually have changed their name (although I don't care either way). There was something about that on Batsu forum, too - I'll try and search out some infos when I have time.

i think that having there title as The Gazette is fun! it is just odd and makes them different cause not many bands have THE in front of the name, ne?

the japanese is the same either way and the name change doesn't bother me at all. what is important is that they are still the same people together and not changing members.

I am officially back from Japan. Unfortuantly, I did not like what was being said on this site about me.... but yes I did take lots of pictures.

Happy girl claims to have met Gazette, as she did a long time ago; however, she has yet to show pictures, so people are starting to doubt that she is truthful.

Further back in this thread "Happy girl" claimed that she was a 17 year old music producer who was casual friends with the members of Gazette and that she was going back to Japan for "business" and would take a bunch of pictures with the guys of Gazette and share them with us. She then said she already had many pictures with them, but everytime we asked her to post them, she'd suddenly have "camera problems" and not understand how to post them. Once people explained to her the workings of a digital camera, she no longer had an excuse not to post the pictures. A few days later, she then posted a reply that said "Gazette pictues", but it was totally blank. Basically, she pretended like she posted pictures of her and Gazette, but for some reason the pictures weren't loading. In reality, she never posted any pictures of Gazette (which is obvious because if you press quote and look at what she input in her reply, there is nothing but a bunch of blanks, no img tags or anything where a picture would be). So, she then disappeared for a while after everyone on this thread started saying that she should just stop talking about the Gazette stuff if it's not true and asking her why she'd put a fake post up like we're stupid, and now it seems she's back.

I don't understand why you don't post the pics Happy Girl. If it's true, we apologize for not believing you, although you have to realize that your story is pretty unbelievable ESPECIALLY after the "fake picture" post.

it's sensible to post the pictures here and so if anyone ever doubted you, they could apologize after seeing the photos. i think it's not that difficult to upload them on photobucket

I can see her reasons for not wanting to post them now, especially since no one really believes her. On the other hand I would say if she wanted to prove that she did infact meet the band, then it'd probably be a good idea to just post one picture. She doesn't really have to prove anything to us if she doesn't want to, but the fact that she did come back to post about it seems like she wants people to know and wants to show off her pictures to some extent. The whole thing confuses me a bit, but I know what it's like to have personal pictures of me with famous people posted all over the web of people claiming its them, when it's not them at all. It sucks, especially after being nice to certain people and showing them some of the photos. Oh well, I'd like to see them either way.

Hmm, in all honesty it does seem a little far fetched. I think she should just post the pictures here. I mean, if she dosen't have them then shes been outed and thatts that.

If she does have them then I think we're all adult ennough to give her the propper apology that she deserves.
