I agree... I'm waiting to buy it. Just like every other DVD and other Jrock merch. item that I crave.

It's quite insulting if all a person does is download and just *waits* for the opportunity to purchase something. It isn't doing the artist any good, and you'd get in trouble if you're caught. Sitting on your butt waiting for an opportunity isn't gonna get you anywhere, cause you could be waiting a Hell of a long time. Take action, get a job, or do something, ask your parents if you can use their credit card or something. My dad lets me use his... as long as the total price isn't over $200.

Another little thing I thought I might add to my rant I just thought of

Maybe bands you want to see so desperately don't come to you countries... or near you countries... states... areas whatever you call them where ever you are... because their record sales aren't high there because people are just stealing the music. Polls establish fanbases... but nothing establishes a fanbase like a little financial support.

I bought two Gazette dvds... one without seeing prior to purchasing... it's fantastic and one of the best purchases I ever made and I survived without downloading it. True story!

I don't think trying is good enough now. I understand pk perfectly about this. It's utterly horrendous that people are complaining that they can't buy anything because they don't have the money for it. It's not hard to get a job so you can earn the money, and don't spend it on things you don't want as much. I very much doubt that pk is ranting just because of one person, it's because there are too many fans that are just downloading the songs and saying things like "oh, I'll try to buy the originals" and not saying things like "I'll save up my money so I can buy the oiriginals".
Now, you have to take action or else you ain't gonna get your *** anywhere. By not taking action, it's practically like saying you don't care whatsoever about what's going on, and that you really aren't that determined in summary. Sure, the merch is expensive, but we *all* know how worth it it all is. It's more a waste if all a person does is download download download and only "try" to buy the merch, without putting enough determination into making sure they will be able to purchase the merch at some point in time.



I could delve into this much farther, but I'm royally pissed off because of my brother... perhaps I shouldn't have ranted in such a foul mood...

Tourist come here and pay $35 to come and look and how messed up my city is from the hurricanes... it's disgusting... I wish they wouldn't have the tours and tourist would go away... it's not an amusement park... it's a disaster area... they have no respect...

I didnt just mean it for her. I meant it for everyone. I guess what brought this on (apart from my already bad mood) is I don't find the forums an enjoyable place to be at anymore... it's too overrun. Too fangirly and way to many new people... I miss the way the forums used to be... no offense to any new people... I just can't keep up... maybe this old forumer needs to go to a retirement home...

I want to say now that I have a full time job, I save and try to buy j-rock (of course! =P) but I can't afford to buy everything. So I buy what I can, and prioritize the bands/artists that I want to support most, particularly indies or lesser-known bands. I have a problem with downloading whole albums, that makes me feel really bad. BUT I still download some songs. Because I can't buy as much as is impossible, in that case, even if I didn't download it, I still wouldn't buy it, so the artist lost anyway.

At first I didn't understand why is PK angry now and not before? (because I know I uploaded a whole album once, when I was 'young and foolish' ><!) But I think I see the picture... ☝

About the forum - I too have been missing the 'old gang'... aw, how sad to spend so much time in a forum that I feel there is an 'old gang'! But yeah, there are some really cool people who don't post here any more, and I do miss them. I don't object to the new people though - of course not! - more j-rock fans = good, and as for being 'fangirlish', well, not everyone is as old as me, yeah?

But the long and the short of it is, that I am leaving the forum. Under all identities. (Some of you know that I have six different j-ref names... don't worry, they don't all post in the j-pop section!) I didn't know where to say goodbye, but here seems as good a place as any. I tried posting under a different name for a while, but I'm just becoming... how to say it? - fed up. Not with people - although there's been too much bickering and bitchiness around here recently - but with life in general, and I don't have the spark for posting any more. I will miss it, and many of you, so I hope some of you pick up my email or myspace addresses and keep in touch.

And, omfg, PK... about those 'tours'....... .......... that's awful. I wouldn't have believed it..... how can people do that?

You never told me they were doing that now, pk. That's horrible. It's like you're suddenly an attraction in a museum or a zoo or something (not meaning to get back into the "being-treated-like-animals" way).

I understand how you feel... the forums have become overpoplated in recent months... it's so hard to keep up with things now... In the summertime, things were calmer, and you didn't need to check everyday to see if there's been any more pages added to a thread... you could wait like a week and there wouldn't be too much development. It was peaceful, and easy pace, now things have gone chaotic.

@ Pjusk: I know it's not always easy to get a job, but there has to be some way for a person to earn money... do chores and ask for an allowance, if you are able to do so. There are ways to get money, not easy, but there are ways. Besides, no one ever said life was easy (or fair ).

@ Kinsao: I'll be missing you very much from the forums... I think I may also be taking my leave... my schoolwork is crucial if I'm to get where I want to be... so I'm not going to be able to spend as much time on the forums as I used to...

And another thing, they simply are not acting humanly when they are doing things like that.

Yeah, he does, or at least that's what I was told. Someone also suggested that he got divorced as well and that he probably has to raise the kid all by himself, but then there was some weird confusion on that part and so don't believe any of it yet. xD
