@ff oh yah cause Aoi turned to Little Slugger from Paranoa Agent! xD I love the color of Uruha's green guitar! yeah...Aoi wrote the lighter songs on Dim.

@Elric - He did ?Forgive me I get confused when people say wrote the songs cause I'm not sure if it's the lyrics or the music itself :sorry:.
The only one I knew he wrote was Shiroki Yuutsu and Uruha did Moth under Skin and 13 Stairs. I wish I knew who composed Ogre :?:

only Ruki writes the lyrics, the other 4 write the music. it was an interview in which i cant remember when it came out or when i read it but aoi said he wrote all the lighter songs (music) because he was in a soft mood. i remember thinking - maybe its his old age and he doesnt wanna hear anything heavy. xD

Aoi-san did the soft music ~_~ I always wondered who wrote those. I personally before GazettE's harder ones. Though if he was the one who did Silly God Disco, I can't blame him, that's my all time favorite.
So I wonder who did all the harder music? Ones like Before I Decay etc?

@ I Scream - Honestly I don't know a lot about who did which song . Well Uruha is the one who did Swallow Tail on the Death Valley and Silly God Disco sounds almost the same as that.

i remember seeing somewhere that uruha composed 13 stairs and dim scene, and that aoi did a moth under the skin? im so confused XD

so if someone could come up with some real sources it would be great! ^^ i actually would like a survey of the dim songs.. does anyone have the album, its written who composed which songs there, right?

if i had the album myself i would do it, but i dont, unfortunately.. im looking forward to turning 18, so ill be able to order things on the internet. my parents just wont do it.. so i only got one album and two live dvds of gazette which someone else bought for me when they were on holiday. im forever thankful for that XD

@ Nina - I heard that Uruha did 13 Stairs and Moth under Skin ! I'm confused too.
The only songs I'm sure that Uru composed are : 13 Stairs , Chizuru , Saraba , Discharge , Maximum Impulse , Distorted Daytime & Swallowtail on the Death Valley.

As for Aoi all I know he did Shiroki Yuutsu , Hole , Social Riot Machines , Defective Tragedy , Burial Applicant & Bathroom.

on the DIM albulm it says all music: The GazettE so they all did it. Because of the bass opening, I always felt that Reita wrote Silly God Disco ^^. Uruha did Taion right? Aoi has the opening and main sample but Uruha did the solo and my rule of thumb is - half the time, whoever's playing the solo - wrote the song.

but on a different note - I was looking through an anime magazine today at the bookstore and they had a feature on Gazette, even had a picture of Ruki and Uruha together on stage. And they had quotes from Ruki and Uruha so it was a mini interview. I thought that was amazing cause they were the one band that I listened to that hadn't been featured in an anime magazine because well....they don't f****n tour here or even get sold here.

actually i'm pissed about that.....dont master your cds in LA & NY unless you're gonna tour here. It's like going to your friends house only to use their electronics and not actually being friendly. Like how BoA's & Hikaru Utada's videos come on tv yet they don't freaking tour here either. I find that rude. Extremely.

I'm kind of with you on that.
On one hand, they do come to America sometimes, so it's not like they've never been, but at the same time, America is a different beast than Asia and Europe...

@ Elric - I thought Aoi did Taion because of his solo in but nvm, Though there are a couple songs where they both have solos.
How cool is that!!!? Did you get the mag Kyo ?
Sometimes I kinda wonder how it would feel if I saw them featuring in one of those cheesy teen magazines like Tiger Beat or BOP where only Miley Cyrus ,JB , HSM and Twilight reigns .

BoA did release an american album too so that can explain why her videos show up.

I disagree. Mostly, because that's what most musicians do - especially if another country has better recording/mastering or whatever equipment. I know for sure that musicians and bands from my country do that. I remember that one of the Gazette members even said in an interview that the quality of sound is better in the US studios and that's why they go there to finish the record.
I really can't see what's there to be offended about. Plus, you don't pay to use your friend's electronics if you go over to their place, do you.? That's not a really good comparison.

@ff BoA did release an American albulm but it's not sold in stores, you can only buy it online. and no i didn't buy the magazine. i bought a manga instead. I'm not angry about them not touring internationally I just think it's unfair. you know they owe half their success to international fans as well as their Japanese fans, don't we (non japanese fans in other countries) deserve to get a small tour?


@zanux in Japan they can't record/mix/master their songs the way they want because of way too many restrictions and I understand that they have to go to other countries to finish an albulm but going to another country only to use their studios gives me this image: your country's amneities are very good for us to use but you aren't good enough for us to play here. It's just rude as hell. and I heavily doubt that PSC doesn't have budget to support small forigen tours. Even sucky bands do international tours so there's no excuse for them other than that they just don't want to do it.

kagrra has done international tours, Miyavi when he was with PSC has done a lot of tours outside of Japan and I always thought that gazetto was the most popular band with PSC so really what's their excuse?

Look, I'm not looking for a conflict here, so I apologize in advance. Still, I think this is no argument. I'm pretty sure this is not how they feel. Which artist would say that? Especially when it's the US, we're talking about here. There are most probably other problems like getting a promoter or them not feeling ready for the US yet. All good things come in time, chill a bit.
Actually, let me give you an example. A very popular opera singer refused to perform Carmen at La Scala theatre in Italy this year, because she felt that she wasn't ready for that sort of challenge artistically and personally. Not saying that this is a good example though however, if that's the case with Gaze, I'd be proud if I were you. The US market is not for the fainthearted.

you know i make this stuff up cause that's the best way to sort out crazy and overly obessisive fans and ppl who make excuses for their favorite band (like what my friend does to explain how much girugamesh sucks now) so the fact that both of you got defensive of this makes me laugh. mwhahahaha . no hard feelings i just do that cause 1.) i like making other ppl mad ~ to make those crazy and obessisive fans realize that's there's no point taking such things so seriously.

btw Aoi also wrote the music of "Kyoumunoowari Hakozumenomokushi" and Ruki composed "Guren"

it you are still interested in who wrote what on dim, I know moth under skin was written by collab...that means not by one person And uruha did only 13th stair and DIms scene. Lrycics are of course all Ruki´s.

I've been lurking around for quite sometime but decided to post something. Hahaha!!!

They have a new single coming out and a Live tour 2010. The title is "Nameless Liberty Six Bullets", I wonder why??? Performing in Budokan again perhaps~??
