Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo

Geneon has acquired a new anime in Japan called "Gankutsuou" and is a sci-fi adaption of The Count of Monte Crist by Alexandre Dumas. It's a really amazing anime, with stunning visuals and beautiful music. And when I mean it has good visuals, I mean that you will literally get blinded during the first few minutes of the anime and go, "...wait, what?" I know that's what my friend and I did when we first saw it.

Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? It's a great anime, it really is - I highly recommend it.

It's very recent, so you might be able to get it from Japanese stores, without subtitles. I haven't seen it in English yet, so I'm just a little bit lost, plot-wise.
