So today, after a few conversations, I practiced talking in my favoured restaurant. I had an uncomfortable situation, after I seeked explanation for a text structure, I said the following:
"Tashika ni boku wa shoushou nibui desu, dakara anata no fukutsu no nintai ni kanshashimasu"
roughly translated it should have kinda meant <Certainly I am kinda slow on the uptake, so thanks for your indomitable patience>
However, she kinda took it positive, but was confused at the fukutsu part.
Because there is also "fukutsuu" which refers to stomach ache, and was concerned that the food didn't becone me well ^^
We lahghed it off after I showed her dictionary examples what I meant, but still..
Was that "unnatural Japanese" and could have said it differently?
