Fukushima

Does anyone live near the Fukushima area? I am ready to send in my jet app and would like to know of a nice small town in the area. Thanks!!

Fukushima is Capital B Capital Double O Capital N Capital I Capital E Capital S.

A capital place for those who like rural areas. I can't vouch for any particular town, but the countryside up there can be quite lovely (to look at). I used to deliver cars to Koriyama City several years ago and was up that way most days.

Hm...Sounds like it could be good. It doesnt look like it is too far from everything either (within hours). I hear it does get cold but this shouldnt be a problem because i'm from vermont. Time cannot go by fast enough (I want to send in my app)!!

That's the good thing. It's conveniently located near nothing but the ground, yet there are express trains and shinkansen available for motorvating you rapidly to built up areas, should the need/urge strike you.

I have also heard that the area is rather inexpensive seeing that it is outside of the city. I guess I'll have to start studying up on the cities in the areas...er...towns...

There are some good-sized cities in Fukushima, don't get the impression from me that it's Dogpatch.

Well, from my understanding, there are no shortages of good size cities anywhere in Japan. However, I have heard that Fukushima isnt as dense as say the tokyo region or even the nagano region. I know a guy who worked for jet in fukushima and he said it was definetly quieter than elsewhere. So I wouldnt mind being in a little town area next to a bigger city (like Fukushima city itself actually). Outside of the capital there are...3 or 4 good size cities in Fukushima? :?
