Kevin Randleman of the U.S. slams his opponent Fedor Emelianenko of Russia into the mat. With anyone else, the neck would've broke and he would've died or been crippled. But Emelianenko shrugged it off and beat Randleman by an arm lock.

Yeah, I watched the fights that night. He really got slammed! Some pretty good fights though! I never watched anything like this until I moved here. Now I'm hooked!

There have been some great fights in the PRIDE events. Kazushi Sakuraba, who won but did not look all that good, has beaten 4 fighters from the Gracie Jujutsu family, as well as other top fighters.

Too bad you don't live in LA. I would tell you where you can go to rent all the old PRIDE event tapes. Or you could go to pridefc.com to see a list of past events and results, or order tapes or DVDs.

I can rent them here, but I need to get an all region dvd player. I found some on the net, but I'm cautious about buying one since I'm fairly ignorant about things like that. :?

If you can rent them where you are, by all means, get the DVD player you need.

It'll be worth the money if you're really into these fights.

Man, that was a good fight!

But what got me was the "Giant" Silva.

No skill at all. I think maybe he saw Bob Sapp fight one too many times. There is a term we have in wrestling for guys that flop around like that on the mat.

I felt bad for the guy.

They had him in there just for the circus freak novelty. At least he won one fight in the previous event against an ex-Sumo guy Henry Miller of St. Louis aka Sentoryu.

Silva probably has very few other ways of making a living.

But I bet he gets more women than me. :sorry:
