Heyo.. I'm from New York and am now in the Kansai area of Japan. I've lived in the U.S. all my life, until the move, and never really got to tap into my Japanese side until now. I'd like to say that I take great interest in Japanese American history and stuff but I'm not... I even bought a book on the topic and fell asleep within minutes (though this can be attributed to jet lag). That being said, I love Japan and the subtleties of its culture. I can see myself living in either the U.S. or Japan so I can't really say which is better.
I think it'll be fun talking about Japan here so I wouldn't doubt that I'll be posting frequently. I have to warn you though.. I tend to be blunt and sarcastic at times (hey.. I'm an American.. it's not my fault!) so if I say anything that might sound offensive, don't take it personally.
