Flag construction material question

Hello, does anybody know if hemp was used maybe towards the end of the war when resources were spread then. I've had this flag for a while and it looks different than all the other ones that are made out of silk or cotton... It's almost has a very thin weave to it and you can see through it more than my other flags.. I know they used hemp as a last ditch sling on the rifles... thanks

Like I said I'm no expert but some of the kanji look odd.
I've never seen anything like this prominent one


Several of them look like gibberish. Yes they could be calligraphic style so it's hard for me to tell (again I'm no expert). But this one is very odd.


It does contain many common names. It doesn't contain duplicate names. (Often we see several names from the same family next to each other). Again, I have no expertise beyond looking at all the various flags that come through here. I trust whatever @Majestic has to say about it and will happily admit I'm wrong if that is the case.

Yes, that is an abbreviation of 門.
The other one looks like 安水吉藤, YASUMIZU Yoshifuji, written in kuzushi (calligraphic) script.

I like this one because it has a clear, and presumably traceable, recipient: Mr. Fujikawa, and the main presenter would be Naval Engineer Kadota Yoshimi (other readings possible).

As for material, hemp/linen is possible. It wouldn't be the most common material.
