I wanted to know if anyone knew what the job situation is like in Japan for hiring game programmers, if it's common to hire foreigners for such jobs, maybe some of the usual requirements (besides a degree, that's a no-brainer).
Reasonable experience making games in your home country is a huge plus.
Getting a game job in the US for natives is hard enough (at least at any place that does screenings - our screenings eliminate almost all applicants quickly).
What can you do that a bazillion Japanese cannot in that business? That's the key question, aside from being able to communicate with your boss and coworkers in Japanese.
is it really...there is a gamer vacancies in japan..?cool i want to join it someday...but, what most skill needed...?3D designer...or ...something else..?☝
