I want to find my Japanese dad. I have little information about him from 20 years ago... If anyone knows where I could get started, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Best bet is to read some of the answers to old posts here about finding someone in Japan. Here on JREF , we have had many people join just to find someone (including myself) and only a few have good luck. It seems finding someone is like trying to find a needle in the large haystack. It seems having the Kanji spelling of his name sometimes helps. Any last location address or phone number might help. Maybe the location of his birth town if you have it. Again , some of the old search posts may give you more ideas.
