Filipino citizen in Canada and wants to move to Japan

Hi everyone!
I'm a 17 year old Filipino citizen living in Canada. My parents applied for canadian citizenship already and we're just waiting to be approved and take the exam.
We've been living here for 5 years now. Next year I'm graduating high school and going into post secondary for 9 months. When I graduate post-secondary and save enough money, I would plan a trip and move to Japan.
I have a friend there that I can stay with who lives in Chiba so I dont really need a place to stay while I'm still unemployed. I can also understand nihingo (still learning) and can improve.
Do you guys know what I need or what I should do in the mean time that can help me move there? I plan to move there before I turn 23. Please help!

If you attain Canadian citizenship, you can come here and stay two 6 month stints in a row (only once in your life) and do PT or FT work by using a working holiday visa. If you don't have a college degree, you're not eligible for a work visa unless you have 5-10 years of related work experience.

Since you plan to get a degree, the next question is to ask what kind of job you hope to get? Non-teaching jobs usually require fairly high level of Japanese ability (speaking, reading, writing) plus some work experience so that you are more qualified than a local Japanese.

What does FT and PT stands for?
I am planning to be an ESL teacher when I move there. A friend of mine told me that I can be an ESL teacher for younger kids like kindergartens or grade 1s. Is that actually possible though? But yes I am going to get a degree if only I really need to.
Is it better if Im a Canadian citizen or Filipino citizen? Or is it better to be both?
