Ferry to Okinawa

Has anyone taken a ferry from eitehr Shimonoseki or Fukuoka to Okinawa?
Im trying to get some sort of organisation together for my next trip to Japan in September.
Thinking of Okinawa, but wondering about cost to get there.

Also how far is it from Shimonoseki to Nagoya? (Cheapest way).
