Farewell Heath

Well, no matter how much it pains me to admit this, I must. Heath Ledger passed away this afternoon in a NYC apartment from an apparent drug overdose. I highly doubt he killed himself, but nevertheless, I hope the police do their job properly and get to the bottom of this.

Heath had starred in such films as Candy, A Knight's Tale, The Patriot, Brokeback Mountain, and so on. His talent as an actor was unquestioned, and undeniable was his dedication to his craft.

I will enjoy his last film the best I can. This is a little too much for me, he was my favorite actor. So I'm just going to let this post end now.

I've seen a lot of his movies (including Ned Kelly), and I enjoyed his acting a lot. A shame he passed away like this.

what was that housekeeper thinking? Oh boy, let's call Mary Kate Olsen instead of trained professionals. When it comes to overdoses, a huge factor in surviving is time.

It was likely too late. He was discovered by a massage therapist. Apparently unlicensed to boot -- or maybe they don't teach in masseuse school that cold to the touch doesn't mean unconscious...Not that Mary Kate's security detail would have made a big difference.

The initial autopsy was inconclusive so we'll have to wait another two weeks or so for the full extent of the toxicology reports. We may actually never know for sure what the actual cause of death was. It's a shame really. He had a promising career and I enjoyed a lot of his work. Will be weird to sit through Dark Knight when that is eventually released.

He was such a good actor and as the person in the public eye, he wasn't trashy or feeding off the press, he had talent. its such a shame to see someone with a true want to press on a good career to fall so soon.

I remember how the day before it was announced in media, I was renting out one of his movies to watch. I admire Heath Ledger for his talent and enjoyed watching alot of his old movies. My sympathy goes out to Michelle Williams and daughter (so young & w/o a father already). It's amazing how the media's still talking about it

Why would anyone take all of those drugs together? Couldn't he read the labels? Any human who took the concoction of the prescription drugs and over the counter drugs was going to end up dead. It was reported that he was under stress and couldn't sleep, well who isn't at some time and we aren't dropping dead of overdoses. I guess when you are an actor you don't have to deal with your problems you just dope yourself. I know it sounds harsh, but come on, did he really need all those drugs? When your poor you have to face your problems, when you're rich you can medicate them away. That being said, I loved the movies "A Knights Tale". It was one of the first movies I bought on dvd.
