English-Japanese Interpreter/Guide in DUBLIN

Greetings!
My name is Kaz. I work for a small company that exports used cars in the city of Ashikaga in Tochigi prefecture. We send a lot of cars to IRELAND and one of my colleagues is going over there to visit our existing clients as well as to cultivate new ones. The only problem.... he does not speak English. We are a small company and cannot afford those agencies who charge up to 500 Euros a day. I am hoping maybe someone in this group who happens to live in Dublin and is willing to help my colleague during his short stay (3-4 days). You will get paid for the service and my colleague will certainly buy you meals and drinks! I know this is a long shot but if you think you might be interested, please let me know. He is planning this trip to take place sometime in the late March. Thank you!
 
I'm afraid I don't recall there being any bilingual JREF members here that are in Ireland. If you can't find anyone in Ireland, why not send someone along with your coworker (or someone in his stead) that can speak English? It'd be much easier to find someone that speaks English in Japan than finding someone that speaks Japanese in Ireland.

I know there are some members here from Dublin wih some Japanese ability, though I haven't seen them post here for quite some time. Hopefully they will see this thread, though, and post.

I have an Asian friend in Dublin unconnected with Jref. She's fluent in Japanese (she went to high school and then university in Japan) and a very high level (though not quite native) in English. She also has a strong background in international business.

I'll get in touch with her to see if she'd be interested. I think her postgraduate studies are finishing soon, and she must be very busy, but there is a small chance that she could help you.

I will be in touch by PM (private message) when I hear her response. Do also please keep looking more, though, both here and in other places.

Thank you for the responses. I wish I could go myself but as I said in my initial post, we are a small company and I am the only one who speaks English... If I went to Ireland for 3-4 days, there wouldn't be anyone here to take care of our foreign clients. I was hoping that maybe someone who speaks / is studying Japanese would be interested in spending a few days with a native speaker (with a slight Tochigi accent, which he vehemently dinies). Anyway, thank you for your "good luck"s, Dave and Gaijin. I could certainly use it. Made Of Stone, thank you for asking your friend. I hope to hear from you soon.

How exciting that you get to travel. Dublin is beautiful and I know that even if you don't find a guide, the people are so friendly that even if your friend just brings a "useful phrases" guidebook, he will get along great.
I'm the person you are looking for, but if only you guys were coming to Wilmington, NC!
