Elitist and Rabid Fangirls (or boys)

You go girl! :box: 📣 :box:
There is times for fighting... and goodness knows I've got a bad enough temper 😌... but, in some situations it means that you're as much of a ***** as them. If someone is being confrontational I stand up for myself even if it causes problems... but often, the best defence is to not care what people say. I'm lucky in that I really don't care.... but I guess not everyone finds it so easy as me. I mean, if they can get you mad... but they're honestly not worth it.

yeah....sometimes...it's not worth the anger but sometimes...it does!

hahaha...funnie story i heard bout a dir en grey fangirl....i love her now....
she had a whole bunch of dir en grey stickers and pictures on her folders and a few of her classmate came up to her and said that dir en grey was gay and they're a bunch of girls. she was like deg was not but the girls kept on making fun of deg so she kicked the hell out of them! she was suspended for some time...

no one around me knows jrockers...you know, i love goth and all but i never dressed like it...i wear black but not gothic...people are just so rude to judge others by the way they look...humans...

I doubt any of those girls at your school are reall "goth" They are probably what I like to call goth trash wanna be's who think wearing black pants and a black shirt is goth. Or they are Hot topic mall core trash lol. People are weird, and I agree that most of the teenagers in the "goth" scene who like to think they are something they are not are really annoying, immature, and usualally I want to smack them lol. It is hard to find people who dress differently that actually don't act like an idiot. At least that's how it has been for me.

Yeah I don't much care what people think of me I just refuse to be walked all over.

reading all this just makes me realize how much more I hate people then I thought

I tire of the sterotypes... I'll stick with my handful of friends... they are interesting and not caught up in stupid things like sterotypes... I don't even like going out places where you are supposed to 'meet new people' anymore... there's only so many times I can be asked "are you punk, goth, or whatever?" or "are you gay?" I wear mix matched strange and clashing clothes I buy from thrift stores and second hand shops... how is that punk or goth... and what is whatever? :D ...and gay? Maybe I have a few boyish mannerism and I really hate feminine things, but it's rude to ask someones sexual preference... if they want to tell you they will  I just can't stand meeting people anylonger ...it can drive a person to murder... oops did I say that outloud :sorry: :D

the funny thing about the little hot topic goths today is they think Marilyn Manson started it all if you ask if they like The Cure or some other bands from when the real goth thing started they have no clue what you are talking about.

The only thing Hot Topic is good for is (for me atleast) their arm warmers and body jewlery... everything else can die  :D

OMG... your avatar kills me Placebo... Brian Molko is so beautiful 😍 *thunk* Good to another Placebo fan around! :p

I really do hate stereotypes. I mean if you fall under one thats fine, like some people are just flat out punk (like Retia haha) but what about the people like me or you (PKK) that look different everday and dont stick to one style or genre or whatever. I agree with you, meeting anyone in this world that is half way decent is hard these days!

The best is when they have never heard of Bauhaus haha! I havent shopped at a hot topic in years, so I am not quite sure what they have. I used to go to them back when there was only one in Michigan, but that was 7 years ago. Whoever came up with Mariyn Manson being goth was stupid! they are shock rockers.

I like the freedom of the VK style of look (regardless of music for the moment). Someone like Miyavi for example, could wear golf socks, football boots, pink floral pants, an old grandad cardigan, a retro '70s link belt and a top hat and look mighty fine - well... probably... you get my meaning...

Oh my Kinsao that killed me. I think that Miyavi has worn that.

But anyways yea, to me, even if a musician does, make a type of music, and a musician does fit into a certain type of genre or sub-culture, I am pretty sure that the musician really woudn't give a crap if some one from a completely different background liked their music. (unless it is the poser wannabes who just like something cause it is the thing). Most musicians make music, regardless of the type or genre (and I am saying real musicians not people who want to go into music to be famous or get money) because they love the music, and they want people to hear it, and they want their message spread through the music.

Thats why I listen to J-Rock. Because if I hear a song, and I really just start to FEEL it, no matter what language or genre it is, I will like it. That is what is most important to me that you can FEEL the music. I'm not going to lie I do listen to Manufacterd music like Pop, SOME Rap, and MTV bands, but those are songs that are simply catchy, or fun to dance to at a club, just cause I listen to it doesn't neccesarily mean its good, it can be crappy as hell but for some reason that even I don't know I will LOVE IT. Prime example Britney Spears TOXIC. I can't stand her, being a Louisianna Native, I think that she is nothing but CAJUN TRASH who got lucky. But I won't lie, I love that song, and even today, it is on my Ipod. But I won't say that the song is good, Cause I don't FEEL It.

Whew that was long winded. I'm always long winded in my posts.

Oh and another form of Elitists are the ones who just cause it is J-Rock you have to LIKE EVERY SINGLE BAND NO MATTER HOW CRAPPY IT IS CAUSE ITS J-ROCK AND YOU HAVE TO SUPPORT EVEN CRAPPY BANDS AND IF YOU DONT LIKE CRAPPY BANDS YOU AREN'T A REALL J-ROCK FAN. Sorry about that 😌 . If music is crap its crap. Doesn't matter if its J-Rock its still crap. Unless it has some weird pull to it like Toxic did despite it being crap, I don't listen to it.

Oh and as far as genres go, I have friends of all Genres. My Best friend, maybe I shoudn't have used goth, even though she's not goth, she looks it to me, so thats what I say when I talk of her, she is actually WICCAN. My other friend, is such a nerd he is so behind the fashions and is a total Anime GUNDAM and Gaming HALO nerd. Oh and the funniest story. My roomates last year were IDENTICAL TWINS. One was hip hop, and the other was PUNK. I just thought that was insanely hiliarious. And I wont say punk and hip hop as thats all they were, cause the punk twin didn't mind hip hop, she just preffered punk, and the hip hop one didn't mind punk just was more hip hop. Oh and they both LOVED BOLLYWOOD music and Turkish Rap, they now have me listening to it, while I got them into J-Music. THE DEVDA'S SOUNDTRACK IS SO GOOD (shameless bollywood plugin 🙂 )

Ah. It must have sunk into my subconscious, then.

Hear hear and amen to that! 👍 x 1000!

Oh yeah, you got me again on that. 😊 I love dancing, there are some crappy dance tracks that I just love... and I don't know the reason... they just catch something... oh I dunno. 😌
*whispers* and some of PLC's songs are like that! [/aside] :D

What does that make me then? Tolstoy? 🙇‍♂️ :giggle:

Oh my, we agree on so many things. :-)

...... uhhh... Turkish music.... anyone like Tarkan? :?

Sorry for the offtopic, folks! I just can't keep my mouth shut! 😆

tarkan he sang the song "kiss kiss" right?

omg i played that song over and over while laughing my head of
cause my bro kept singing with the track. we where on vacation then.

It's really sad to hear about the experiences you all had with people who think they are so much better than others. I'm really lucky, all my really-really close friends here in Norway listens to j-rock ( and they are on this forum😌 ). My other friends really HATE j-rock, they think it sucks. They have started a group called "menn mot j-rock" = "men against j-rock" the funny part is that it's members is mostly women  It doesn't bother me much, even do it hurt sometimes, ☝ cause I really hated J-rock in the beginning. I had decided that it was crap :bikkuri: . No I can't image life without it :giggle:
Most of the goths here in Norway is like ; I put on a black baggy t-skirt and black trousers and wear black makeup= now I special. I know I shouldn't, but I don't respect them. I can respect REAL goths ( then comes the question "what is a REAL goth?" the answer is I can't tell you, but you will understand it when you see one☝ ) I hope I didn't offend anyone :sorry: And it's very important to understand that I can't respect ANY groups, only individuals! That's probably one of the worst things about me😊 But I specially dislike ;"I'm so "special" wanna be goths" 😊

I dont quite understand the dilemma here.

So many of you have had run-ins with people whom have ostricized yourselves for whatever inadequate reason. Many of you have come to the realization that there are people not worth knowing even in the realm of jrock, and music as a whole. Nice to understand, sure.

What I dont understand however, is the retaliation for these said types. Suspensions for fighting them in school? C'mon, is it really THAT important?

So Johnny Nobody wont let you talk to him about the band you both like for whatever silly reason; big deal, right? If he wont give you the time of day, do you really want to ask him anything?

I just dont understand what the issue is about elitists, fangirls, or whatever else stigmatized derogatory term is for the common, everyday jerk. If someone reveals themself to be one of these things, log it in your memory vault as 'someone not worth knowing' and move on.

Um Johnny Nobody didn't call you a N I G G E R , when they said the part about me being a Dir en Grey Poser Wannabe. I didn't say that part in the orignal story about exactly why I beat them up, I didn't think I had to. I wasn't trying to start up some big argument about goths and poser goths, and why I was treated badly. All I wanted to start was a thread about people's experiences with fangirls and elitists, that could possibly be funny or in my case sad.

With that said here goes a story about a Miyavi fangirl. At the recent con I went to (not the same as the Mana fangirl) in the J-Rock viewing room I met this Miyavi fangirl. She was like uber fangirl. Like her friend told me that when his last single Wedding March (don't know the whole name by heart just that it is Kekkonshita No Uta something) and Are You Ready To Rock? came out that she bought all 3 of versions of the single. So the guys in front of where we were sitting started talking about him. And one of them said something like Miyavi is good on guitat but can't sing. After he said that she screams and spills her drink on me accidently cause she gets so excited. And goes off. It was so funny cause everyone in the room just starts staring at her like o.O . But she was like uber fangirl she had a MYV tee on with the Miyavi Bag. And even had that skirt like thing they showed on the Miyavizm dvd. She almost went on me, cause when I first saw it I asked if it was authentic (I wasn't trying to be rude but you know they have a lot of bootlegs of that kind of stuff) but I'm lucky. But can you Imagine how funny it was I mean imagine it your in a room and its mostly quiet and all of a sudden your here MIYAVI CAN SING.

I f***ing LOVE Devdas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cried my eyes out when I saw it, which is a big deal for me cuz I never cry during movies. And Aish is so pretty, hate her, love her, hate her, damn you pretty girl!!! :p and the music rocks!

sorry for that..has nothing to do with jrock... just wanted to share my love...🙂

CONGRATS HIDE!!! WE ALL LOVE YOU. 👍 🍰 🎊

Oh and..elitists suck! yeah...

Oh, it takes a long time to read this!
I think everybody says: elitists suck, let's all be nice, OK.
Or if someone is mean, don't take a notice, they are not worth a notice.
If someone is a *****, they are the loser.
And people who think their look is superior, they are also too annoying.
Just be yourself. :-)

I don't have a story, because I never met J-rock fans yet (except Kinsao of course). I think I would be upset if they act that... *******. But only upset because I can't share talk with them, not upset inside myself. 😌

Why havn't we got cons and fangirls like that? Whyyyyyyyy??!!!
That would be so much fun. In norway, people are hardly so stuck up they laugh in your face cause of how you're dressed if you try talking to them.
Also, I have to say, goth is about one of the biggest stereotypes there is. I judge people on distance often, I do.
But if soemone talks to me, then I consider that one as aperson and not by their looks, because if you're going to have a relationship to a person it actually matters what kind of person it is.
The jrock fans I've met in Norway are just nice and cute. And few. But if it starts being the new goth-thing I think I would be a bit bitchy about boppergoths in Diru-t-shirts.

In the contrary discussion, my boyfriend actually started Men against Jrock. I remember one night we'd gone to bed and my friends sleeping in the same room had put on Kagerou to sleep. And after a while he's like "This is just bad synth pop(which is a very bad word in his vocabulary)".
And I just said "Well, you know I don't care what you think".
If he'd said that now I'd probably go ape s**t on his butt cause they are one of my favourite bands, but I'm glad he didn't cause the little I said apparently really upset him.
He asked really agitated if he could turn it off, and he isn't usually like that at all, hehe.

Very funny Laruku rabid fangirl story...and it's about my mom. Wow. I was on amazon.com reading reviews for Laruku's "Ray" and my mom started reading over my shoulder. We got to the part in the review about "Trick" (my mom's new Laruku obsession) and, well, the reviewer kinda sorta bashed it and Yukihiro a bit. Well, my mom went off. She was like, "Repetitive??? What are THEY on??? It's a great song! Yuki needs to write MORE of their stuff not LESS!!!" Dude, she seriously went on for about half an hour. She's quickly becoming worse then me and that's not good 'cause I'm pretty bad myself

Thats great Hyde that you can listen to J-Rock with your mom. I tried to get my mom into it, and she is like ugh. Especially cause the first band she saw was Dir en Grey (not a good band for parents) but it wasn't on purpose it was an accident. I was watching some live (not sure which one) and she comes into my room and starts watching trying to "bond" and she was like how do you like that music its so noisy, and that guy who singing he's ugly (I could have killed her). And then Kyo did the whole theatrics of scratching and punching and she was like WHAT IS THIS. My whole family thinks something is wrong with me, cause my mom is such a gossipy person and now they think that I'm not normal and even have me on suicide watch.

O.O I hate s**t like that. See my mom at first hated Diru too but she didn't go ape s**t on me for liking it (FYI, she's now in love with Diru and wants to marry Shinya). I just don't understand parents like that...let your kids be who they want to be, like what they want to, do what they want to. It's not YOUR life it's THEIRS so f**k off and let 'em live it. :21::auch::21:

ugh my mom thought kyo was a girl.. and i didnt correct her or i woulda probley been yelled at like
"that is a girl.your not gay are you for thinking thats hot? what is he a fag?? no fag will like you because your a girl.. "
 *stabs mom* :D :D
