Yuya's actually pretty talented too, even though my bff gives me sh*t about him... did you know he's the one who wrote Es?
 
i dont know too much about Yuya...only that he's Hayato's bestfriend. My friend hates him XD when she got her Visions Cd she turned it around and said "YOU *****!" and i was like "Yuya?" and she nodded XD
 
my friend says Yuya looks like her uncle XD i've never met him though.
i like Yuya. Rhythm guitarists are so underappreciated (how do I know? I've done it before)
 
yeah i almost broke my cuzins guitar when i played on it XD but i'm a vocalist for a jrock cover band ^__^ we're havent done anything yet but we'll be covering Glamorous Sky by Mika Nakashima
 
well i'll try... ^__^ so anyways back to the topic of Duel Jewel have you ever been to one of their concerts?
 
no T-T I've seen footage of their live appearances, but it's not the same thing at all... I keep hoping they'll play in the NYC area... T-T how about u?
 
OMG You guys havent mentioned Tsuki to Tawamure and the awesomeness that is Lapidary yet??? IT's like one of the best... Hayato's voice is so lovely <3
 
if they didn't have hayato, they wouldn't be duel jewel... like dir en grey wouldnt be dir en grey without kyo and nirvana not nirvana without cobain... though kyo's a lil bit better than hayato...
i actually found dir en grey through duel jewel... it was that cover of akuro no oka (and as far as akuro no oka covers go, theirs was only mildly embarassing instead of flat out horrible like the rest... cuz they have talent, but hayato doesnt have as much emotional connection to the song as kyo, so naturally it couldn't be as good. i doubt anyone but diru can replicate the feat)

i remember watching that video and thinking "This is good but dir en grey still does it better" XD
 
still, despite kyo's existence, duel jewel are my favorite band (though i'll aknowledge that diru are probably better in many ways)... like aho-matsuri said, it's hayato's amazing voice... i just can't forget how it echoes in the pits of my mind, and then shun playing with his guitar...
also, i do love shun's screaming parts... azure is totally a better song because shun screams :-) for some reason his voice makes hayato's seem even more resonant... *drifts off into dreamland*
 
yah I'm listening to Azure right now... yummy... I just heard "Red Beast wo Korose" last night. It's so cute :) I think I am in luv with the Red Beast.

haha my best friend says she found a video of duel jewel playing soccer against some other band and yuya and hayato were wearing bunny suits!! appareantly shun was goalie and he and baru were good at soccer :-) cuz she says they won... waah i wanna see it so badly... T-T but she wont tell me where it is, she says she'll show it to me on saturday...

oh, i was reading shun's blog yesterday, and he was being teased by yuya and val, do you have a girlfriend, come on tell us, and shun was like, hayato knows. and hayato's like, please, him, have a girl?? XD and then shun was like, who needs a girl, hayato's here. (at least thats the bits i got, cuz i read the automatic translation, and it's not very clear...)
i'll send you the url for that vid as soon as i can get it...
