Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to carry sushi knives on a Keikyu Airport train, at least not in an intoxicated state of mind.

Passengers on a train in the Japanese capital went into a panic on Aug. 26 after a sushi chef dropped his knives on the floor by mistake. [...] The chef had a sashimi knife with an about 28-centimeter-long blade, a Western-style knife with a 25-cm blade, and a "deba" Japanese-style knife with a 15-cm blade, all in a drawstring bag. He was sitting on the train, and the knives apparently fell out of the bag when he missed his stop and panicked. The knives were in sheaths, but passengers who saw them began to run away and shout, "Knives!" causing a frenzy. The chef was apparently intoxicated at the time.

When I was in middle school, I used to arrive early and sit in the amphitheater outside to read. The seats were often covered in morning dew, so one day I brought a handkerchief to sit on, and won a free trip to the principal's office when a hall monitor caught a glimpse of a red cloth hanging out of my back pocket.

But that can't hold a candle to this incident!

Reminded me in high school when I was sent to the office because I wore my sweatshirt inside out. I was told "we don't tolerate rebels here" , LOL.

How the times have changed. Now kids are being forced to take political sides in things they don't, and can't (because of their age), understand. They are used as pawns by the school board, school administration, and politicians. Because, after all, no one can vote against anything that involves children. The "think of the children" mantra is so powerful that it lets politicians get whatever they want as long as they somehow have something to tie in kids even if it is otherwise in no way related.

Take the example of a bill (US) providing funding for school lunches that includes a bunch of "pork barrel" spending on a defense contractor or a lucrative contract for a company maintaining highways or something. People who know whats going on would want to vote against it but are bullied into voting for it because otherwise they are voting against the kids.

Sorry, this turned into a rant.

I don't understand, what's the problem with a red handkerchief? Was it a gang symbol?

Yup, literal red flag for bloods, blue for crips.

I didn't exactly fit the bill, but in all fairness they had to be sure. I was really confused until it was explained to me what I was in trouble for.

In junior high , I took my MAD comic book to lunch with me. As I sat at the table checking out a risque picture of girls in skimpy bikinis the vice principle saw it and took me to his office for a lecture on bringing pornigraphic material to school , LOL.
