My friend made a good point the other day... I've noticed too. Once your watched Shinya drumming... then other drummers start looking really boring in comparision. He just has so much energy and is so damn good.

ogod, can't believe i'm gunna say this but....
.... the drummer from slipknot is actually.... really amazing....
i mean... it was insanity on sunday.... they lifted up the druming platform and had him do this entire drumsolo at a 90 digree angle.... and they kept on moving it round.... gees... i was like..... wah!
and hte drummer from feeder... bless his littly heart, he was completely knackered, and he was still pounding the crud outta that kit ^.^

aw, but yeah, this guy from dresden dolls.... brian.... gebus, you should watch him.... complete insanity....

Izumi, tho... it's so cute watxhing him play.... like, everyone else is going insane on stage.... and he;s just sitting here like he;s take in a stole in the parck.... it' so cUte! *pounces on him*
 
I think that Shinya has a very boring drumming style. He concentrates on drumming and doesn't look around or anything. It's impressive, but not interesting. I like drummers that play around and toss their sticks, look at the camera, sing along, grin and generally look like they're having fun while playing their music.

some drummers look bestwhen they're doing as you descibbed.... but,..... i really can't imagin niether Shinya nore Izumi drumming like that..... actually it would really scare me if they did.....
i think it's just a matter of the people who are drumming.... i mean, i'm sure if that guy you just posted the pic of (please excuse my ignorence.... did you mewan s@tt-on was him, aor someone else?) just sat there are looked like Shinya.... it really wouldn;t look right at all..... infact, i think that would be scary too.... so....

M'yeah, I have the greatest admiration for musicians who can do other stuff at the same time as playing their instruments... I forget to keep my expression properly arranged so I'm sure I look like a total dork when playing :sorry: never mind being able to do stuff like juggle or give blowjobs at the same time 😌
 
The important thing is really drumming though. Not showing.
I mean a drummer that can play but not show is still a good drummer, but a drummer that can only show and not drum isn't.
Besides Shinya looks really interesting while he's playing, I think.
He's really dynamic, his whole body moving.
 
totally agree with Dollporn. And anyway he looks like a god when he drumms. :p

lol, well... i really do think it depends on the music, on the type of person they are.... but.... i don't know.... Takashi (ex-Pura), well, i have a live of him, and he's like really moving a long, miming along to Ryu and everything.... but... i dunno... i think it's kinda scary ^^;

ok.... Takashi was a good drummer, no denying it. he really whent fo it and you could tell he enjoyed what he was doing, but... there was also this... lack of character coming off at the same time....
i mean... he didn't really flow ith the rest of the band....
yeah, Akira and Tadashi aren't exactly relaxed performers, but... they work like Ryu in that they manage to be energetic, but not detract from the music.... Takashi was just.... distracting....
Buchi, however.... he, well, i don't really know because i've only seen him play in PVs.... but, his general character is a lot more like the rest of the bands.... and i don;t think it works unless that's the case....

i think it's the same with Yuune and Kai....
Yuune seemed very different to the rest of the band.... where as Kai fits in perfectly....

i think if Shinya was to play like Illaparatzo-sama described... it really wouldn't work for the rest of the band....
again i don't know for sure because i haven't actully seen any lives, but i get the feeling that Diru are phycotic.... but in a really sort of.... dark manor?
i dunno, like, they really go for it, but at the same time look really cool and calm.... which is really emphasised by their music...
ok, i realise i'm really not explaining myself verywell... i hope i haven't bodged this up too much....
i've probably said a tone of things i don't mean again 😌


o, but i have to mention, because otherwise i'm sure someone will pick uip on it....
Kagrra,.... ok, so Nao and Akiya go pretty phycho when they play, and they're all over the place, put that's because it's part of their personality...
Kagrra, play as they are... ans Izumi really is very, much the backbone of the whole band... i'm sure if there's even an agument between them (heaven forbid) then he's the one to make the peace again....
and they all play like how they are...
Nao's all bubly and jumpy... Akiya's very energetci and expressive, Shin's very focussed yet interacts with the other band mebers too, Isshi's very elaborate and expresive in his movments and loves to get involved with the audience and the wh0ole band, and Izumi's very relaxed and focussed, and.... actually, sometimes looks a little bored 😌
but that's not a bad thing... it's really relaxing watching him play ^.^
also (man, i'll stop after this last comment, swear)
the way the play reflects the roles of their musicle lines in a song....
and i'll leave it there and not go on to explain..... 😌

i'd get lost..... i wanna be a bassist ^.^ allways have done (i mean, aside from a singer...)

christ i made a load of spelling erros and typos in that last comment... i should probably go change them..... at some point....

i dunno what it is about Drummers.... i guess it's because, in reality the whole band is kinda dependent on them.....
i mean, i'm not saying all these bands couldn't be stunningly brlient without them... i mean, you look at solo artists and they're fine....
but that's cos they're just them.... they dont have to be kept intime with anyone else so... in reality it doesn't really matter....
with the drumline there, then, if all else fails they can rely on that to pull them all back together....
i mean... you've got Jinkaku Radio for example... a truley amazing band... but they don;t have an official drummer.....
yes, Shin is their drummer, but they've been through like... 3... and they've really had problems...
actually they haven't released anything in ages (but they are sooooooon! *is so excited*)
and i thin that if Naoki wasn't such a capable bassist then they'd really have a good few more problems....

i know i talk like this.... i've never played the drums before in my life.... i can barly hold a beat steady... i usually end up speading up of whatever....
all that i say is mearly speculation, my own analysis and opinion, so.... please don'y think i know what i'm talking about 😌

Well... I like watching him be focused and swinging his head around.

Dom from Muse is really fun to see live... he smiles and makes funny faces at you... he's so cheery... when I saw them live me and my friends kept making faces at him and he would make them back and wink and stuff. He interacted more so then Matt or Chris who both just kept their eyes closed almost the whole time.

I can only imagine practical stuff... *shrugs* The most impractical thing I could imagine was Kaoru being my friend... 😌 Only cause we have many things in common. We could eat hamburgers and play video games and watch Kenshin all day and paint random stuff purple :D ...and play music too I suppose. XD

Even that is hard to imagine for me 😌

yeah, i mean, in reality... i know i'm never gunna meat them, and i know even if i did, one they wouldn't be able to understand a word i was saying..... and two... to them i'd just be another fangirl, which yeah, fine they may be happy to know i exsist, but that's all.... they have better things to do with their lives than to forfill every fangirls dreams or whatever...

kotodama was the first PV of theirs i saw.... and i swear, that was it....
i mean, the Gozen album had already shoved them up way high on my rating scale... but i was still listening to a lot of western music at the same time....

actually, it's funny... ever since Maxiie showed me the Hisai live.... i got this HUGE craving.... i couldn't shake it...
that's when i became really obsessed... i had to wait till he got it copied for me, but.... mygod in that one week, i'd learnt more about Kagrra, than she had in 3 years ^^;
