Doubt about a sentence

I was there in my room doing my i/na adjective exercices (and quite happy because I was having no problem to understand everything written in the book), when, this sentence appeared:

Dooshite sore wo katta no desu ka.

(and then, the space to answer
(pretty) __________________ kara desu. (the answer given is "kirei datta")

What is the meaning of both the sentence and the answer?

I believe the question asks: "Why did you buy that."

And the answer is: "Because it was pretty."

Is there anything in particular about the sentences that is giving you trouble? I might not have the skills to explain clearly, but I'm sure someone else would be happy toﾂ if I can't =D.

Now that you said... Yeah, that's it. I think that I confused doushite with dou alone and... well, it was not making sense to me XDDD but I think you're right.

another sentence D:

Suupu wo moo sukoshi atsuku shite kudasai.

I know (or at least i think I do) the meaning of the words, but I couldn't understand teh meaning of the sentence. Please explain to me

Please heat up the soup a bit more.
Su-pu wo (easy enouhg...) mou sukoshi (a bit more) atsuku shite (make it hot--atsui=hot, suru=to do) kudasai (please)

While I would recommend writing in hiragana rather than romaji from the start, if you are going to use romaji make sure that it is all in one style, otherwise you will get confused and end up doing things like writing もう as もお.

Now I see that my doubt was on "atsuku shite", I didn't think about it as one.
