Don't fall into the trap

Its argued that working for schools like NOVA is a Mac industry.

Giving fast food english in a service industry manner.

Then it stands to reason that there will be some VERY shonky operators, just like theres VERY shonky fast food restaurant owners.

Why post this?

Well it seems some of you guys would LOVE to come to Japan, and would take any oppurtunity to come here. I'm saying, make sure you research well before hand. Search up about the school and what others before you have said. Don't come here blind.

You may get screwed over.

And if you get screwed over you screw over all other english teachers here. How?
Because you make dodgy contractors think they can get away with it. Makes the big schools think they can start chipping away at wages as there is the impression that there are people who will work for peanuts.

So don't accept anything just cause its a chance to come to japan.

Its just like working anywhere, some employers just work the employees as hard as possible for as little return as they can get away with. Its also useful to read up on the laws in japan concerning work conditions, pay, etc. Know your rights!
