Dojo's in Kobe

I have to do some more sports from now, because I am getting lazy and need more friends.

I was thinking about soccer, and I know a place where I can play it... but it's on Sunday... my only free day in the week.

So I was also thinking about maybe joining a Karate school, or other fight sport school here in Kobe. So my question is;

Does anyone know any schools, preferable with English speaking members/teachers.

Just kidding. I took a karate class for 2 years and made wonderful friends, both nihonjin and gaijin. I like karate because it teaches you how to focus your mind. I think aikido would also be a good art to learn...I had a run in with a yakuza type---fortunately, he was older and smaller than me so he backed down. But the police wasn't amused. ☝

What about Judo or Brazilian Jui-jitsu? I think there is a Paraestra gym around Kobe.
Since the site is in Japanese I have no idea what is on it.

Try to find a Karate discussion forum on the web, or _any_ karate club in any country and e-mail your question to them (just google it).
Usually martial arts clubs (at least in Kendo) have good connections around the world and will know dojos and sensei in Japan as well, have personal contacts.

And don't worry about english so much, good sensei can teach you without english.. you need to learn the japanese Karate terms anyway

What happened with the other sports? Tennis, Basketball?

Karate is good because i used to be a senpai untill i dropped because i did too many sports.

Now i do ninjitsu because the dojo master for Samurai (aikido,hapkido or... i forgot the name) passed away, he died when i was on holiday! and i wanted to do that so much, since he was the only guy that teaches me a lot about Shinto and Buddhisme, he said if i wanted to be reborn, then let me be a rurouni. i always wanted to be samurai. Well those are his words, if i wanted to be a samurai i would like to be in a decor like the movie The Last Samurai.

Now back to topic:

Karate*

Tennis*
Ju-jitsu*

all fine but try to find for a ninjitsu dojo if you have the possibility.

there is also always another alternative:

just take out your boxing-gloves and stand in a ring or join the Japanese Fight Club association
