Is there any difference between みな and みんな for 皆 ("everybody")? Is this a case of having two different ways of saying the same thing? I see minna and I see mina and I always think the latter is incorrect, but apparently not, right? Just different spellings? Thanks!

Hi,

Jim Breen says:

It seems that both are correct.

Thank you. I'll stick with minna and mina-san. I didn't know it could be used for "everything" too.

"みんな" is an informal expression only a little.

The usage named 「みんなさま」 is not correct though the usage named 「皆様(みなさま)」 is correct.
