Difference between the questions

What is the difference between:
anata no uchi ha doko ni arimas ka? and anata no uchi ha doko desu ka?

Both are asking about the location of the house, but I am not able to tell the difference between the two.

As you have stated, there is no difference in meaning but if you want the literal translation, 1) is saying where is your house situated and 2) is saying where is your house.

先生のご丁寧な説明、大変参考になりました。でも、prt1987さんはおそらくそれがまだ理解できないと思います。なぜならば、prt1987さんの質問は英語で、さらに日本語の文はローマ字で書いたからです。おそらく仮名をまだ習得していないでしょうね。
