Hi,

I'm looking for a dictionary of japanese-english-japanese. I heard that Kodansha's dictionary was a good choice for a beginner.

But here's my question:
Is it better to buy the japanese-english-japanese dictionary? It's available on amazon

Or should I buy the two dictionaries separately ?
The english-japanese and the japanese-english are also available on amazon:
- japanese-english
- english-japanese

Thanks in advance for any advice

Their Kanji dictionary is amazing too. I'm still impressed on how well it is put together and hope to get the furigana one someday.

Yes I know that ! but you don't answer my question

What I want to know: Is it better to buy the "2 in 1" dictionary (the one you gave the link) or to buy the two dictionaries separately ?

See my previous post (links to the dictionaries, etc.)

Thanks in advance,
dasch

... hmmm

Good question

I'd get the combo, as after looking at it, it seems to be simply both books together. As a beginnier you need to be able to look up things both ways.

I would recommend seperately if you are considering taking up Japanese seriously. The Furigana is good for beginner, also the Kenkyusha's Furigana dictionaries are good.

Yes, definitely 2 separate dictionaries.
