Ok so apparently I am subconsciously making up for my last couple posts because this post.. goes on forever. My apologies however this thread has fallen into a tad of inactivity so I am not probably as sorry as I should be. *laughs*
The new single:
So I totally *cough* didn't have a fangirl moment when I got this. xD... For two reasons, the first being obvious, and the second was because of the photo card. It was Zero which is EXACTLY who I was hoping for. (Because I am not very fond of Hizumi from this photo shoot and he seems to be stalking me. Really. I ordered a copy of Squall (I am totally obsessed with Sqall!Screen.) and it was advertized as coming with a Karyu photo card but when it arrived.. guess who? *chuckles* I like Hizu from that shoot better anyway.) Moments before I went into the Post Office I was talking on the phone with a friend and was annoying her with gushing and confiding in her that I was REALLY hoping for Zero. I literally squealed when I opened it poor lady behind the counter. *laughs* (Yes I am too impatient to wait until I left the building.)
(Random side note) Apparently I am on something because I could have SWORN for some reason that Zero was wearing this awful awesome pokadot overshirt-thingy but no just his equally horrible awesome plaidﾂ… thing. LOL
Kamikaze.
When I got the CD it was the first time I had heard it. (I tend to avoid hearing samples. ^_^ It ruins the enjoyment for me.(However thank you dakkii for sharing the sample with everyone!) It is growing on me. I have to admit that at first I wasn't that thrilled with it but after 10-15 times of listening to it my opinion of it changed. (The exact opposite of my reaction to Brilliant. xD but that is another story.) The chorus has to be my favorite it has a beautiful cadence. I have come to appreciate the songs flow.
Scissors.
Again I am more enraptured with the second song on the single. This is a new and refreshing sound from them (in my opinion). The immediate (excuse my total inability to site actual musical terms. xD) heavy almost trance/techno beat. Its so.. guh *laughs* I knew the minute I heard it that it would be a favorite.
Taste of Chaos live DVD.
Things that made me happy: Hizumi's gay little hand motions ALWAYS amuse me especially during Screen and the brief flashes of Hizu!stomach in the beginning when he is flailing around. Karyu with his persistent hair messing and silly faces. Tsukasa is SO intense while drumming. Zero, that is all. =]
Things that.. didn't make me happy: The. Crowd. Were. Assholes. I mean really. Hizumi kept trying to engage the audience and they would, sort of, react. It was kind of sad and disheartening. (They didn't let it faze them thought. ^_^) It really made me think about the performance that I saw and it made me a little disappointed. While it was incredible to see them live I spent most of the time in a kind of daze, thinking less about how they were performing and more about how they were just THERE. Now thinking back they were kind of.. lack luster. I don't know how else to put it, I do know I really need to see them again. (For now I will live with my live DVDs) I think that perhaps it was the end of the tour and they were tired or maybe they were sick and tired of crowds that didn't respond at all that much. Or perhaps I am making excuses for them and they were having an off day. x_x
What ruined my day?:
Apparently HMV doesn't give out promo posters? ;-; I really love posters. A lot. And this kinda, almost killed my happy buzz. Almost. *sighs* I am almost bummed enough to buy the regular version from some other company (CDJapan ect ectﾂ…) that I know would come with a poster. =/ I don't know.. what do you guys think? Am I over reacting? >_>
Sorry for the bitter ending and thanks for listening to my insane ramblings. What did you think of D'espa's latest single?

Ohhh Suzuki Akira, you got Kamikaze already!? MAN I AM SO JEALOUS ;-;
I ordered both first press editions off CD Japan back in June. It got released on the sixth, and was due to be here either the seventh, today, tomorrow or Monday.

..But..
I'm going on vacation tomorrow.
I'm going to miss the mail guy.
I have to leave at 7am.
Then I won't be able to come back and hear Scissors (<333333333) for another two weeks.

Karyu and Tsukasa are my absolute little darling angels and my favourites of the band (I hate to make them sound like show animals to have preferences over, but hey :() and I have 5 photocards, 3 are of Karyu (From the Squall, Mirror and Kogoeru photoshoots), one is of Tsukasa from BRILLIANT and the other is of Hizumi from squall.

Oh! Suzuki! Which photoshoot comes with Kamikaze photocard wise?
Is it the black and white one off their website?

I'm so disappointed I'm going to miss my Kamikaze posters and CD/DVDs... I want to hear Scissors so badly. I can tell it's going to be the same with how I reacted about BRILLIANT, y'know, listening to BRILLIANT and humming, la-la-ing, and then hearing Cocoon like.

They never disappoint which is why I'm so gutted I'm going to miss the new songs maybe by about 3 hours. :(

Alllllso, "The World Outside the Cage" DVD arrived a few weeks ago. I paid £55 or so for it and it was worth every single penny. I've never laughed so much or been in love with them so much in my entire life. Absolutely fantastic. I recommend it to anyone who likes them even remotely. But I must say I about had a heart attack when Tsukasa went skydiving. O____O

Hmmm what else what else.

If they'd have sold it on eBay, it would have made nearer £45-50 brand new like that.

And I have to say Suzuki, I feel bad about the whole "audience looking dead" thing too. If I were in a band I'd hate to play festivals because it must be so sad to play in front of an audience who don't even know who you are and aren't paying attention... :( Tch.. One man shows are so much better. Everyone's there for the same reason: To scream and scream and scream "ai shiteru" at the world's greatest rock band. <3

I am glad I got the Zero photo card which is why I am not dying over the poster. I also agree with you that Karyu is exceptionally beautiful from this photo shoot. Which is the one from their website. ^_^ It usually is unless they haven't updated it. I really wouldn't have minded getting a Karyu version but Zero will always be my little dolly with his epically amazing semi curled hair and plaid preference which I love to hate. (I LOLed at the show animal thing. It is sad but true. xD For some reason Karubi popped into my head when I read that. (That is the cow's name right x_x?) I am so jealous of how many photo cards you have!

*laughs* That wasn't my reaction to BRILLIANT but it TOTALLY was with Kamikaze, I was enjoying the single then the song switched and within the first maybe 30seconds I was like O_O and remained that way for the rest of the song.

Always with the jealously, I envy your ﾂ"The World Outside the Cageﾂ" ownership, MaNia. I ALWAYS miss the bid closings on those. ;-; I am determined to get it someday! (Or live in the hope that they will come to some kind of miraculous decision to reprint it. xD but that is just my fangirl dreaming.*chuckles wistfully*)

You have no idea MaNia! There is this one part where they actually zoom in on these American idiots in the front row WHO ARE LEANING ON THE RAILING IN THE FRONT ROW AND ACTUALLY YAWNINGﾂ…. YAWNING! It was both incredibly amusing and heartbreakingly sad. X_x When I went people would start to get into it, headbanging/moshing and such and people around us would make us STOP. What. The. Heck. I was irritated. I would hate it too and I think it would affect my performance. =/ but it just goes to prove that D'espa is truly the greatest when you see them giving their all for a crowd that is quite literally bored to distraction. >.< THEY NEED TO HEADLINE A TOUR LIKE RIGHT NOW! (and come to the states with itﾂ…) *laughs*

Like I commented on Youtube with; he just moves so naturally and fluently. Like he was playing to a live audience and loving the music. They all love what they do so much, it's cute. And they have adoring fans. <3 I can't think of a band that better deserves them though. :)

Well, I missed coming on here to wish D'espa a happy Birthday but I spent the day annoying pretty much everyone around me with my celebration. -is a fangirly nerd- xD I spent the day watching all the live DVDs I own~! (and wishing I owned Murder Day.) Which reminds me I was able to get a copy of World Outside the Cage!! For only 55$ go me! I also picked up a limited edition Mirror and I have been on a major poster kick lately. *laughs* Lotsa new stuff~!

Anyway, the real reason for my post is I heard whisperings of a December release? Nothing much just some muttering on lj. ^^ Anyone heard anything about this? (The month may be off as I am just rememebering the fact off the top of my head and am too lazy to refind my source.) I also heard it was kind of... popish and unlike them? Perhaps this is just rumors but it made me wonder~!

Yeah, according to some people's live reports from the anniversary live, Hizumi said that they were going to release a new single in December. Of course, there isn't any announcement on their OHP or anywhere yet, but I'd guess it won't take too long for more info to pop up X3
 
I missed coming here on the anniversary too :( and I haven't been keeping up lately with D'espa. Which is really bad, considering I'm going to see them on the 21st October! At least, if they are still on the Taste of Chaos tour - which I had heard they are. (?)

Suzuki: thank you for your reviewlet of the single 👍 is Kamikaze the title of the single? I so need to get this...
 
er, sorry Kinsao, but D'espa isn't on the international leg of RTOC...only MUCC is/was out of the 3 jrock bands. D'espa isn't touring again until December, and that will be in Japan. :[

And yep, Kamikaze is the single that came out near the beginning of August. :3
 
It's a shame that they are not coming back. ;-; I would love to see them again but I guess I will have to keep hoping.

Still keeping my eye out for news of their next release. Nothing that I have seen so far. Even though Zero has been posting like crazy. xD
 
Okay... well I have seen D'espa live already (I was on Zero's side) so it's okay... (MUCC is my favourite band which is why I'm going to the concert :p) Actually I just went back to the website and they've updated it (when I visited before it had all the bands on it, now just the 5 that are on the European leg).

The new single, which I knew was coming but am still excited to get updates about, should be fairly amazing. I am definately waiting for CDJapan and not... outsourcing(?) No more Kamikazesque fail. xD
Something I noticed: Is there seriously going to be only 2 tracks on the limited edition and 3 on the regular edition? Am I REALLY going to have to get both CDs for one track? What a shame. XD Correct me if I miss enterpreted this but that is how it seems to me.
I love holiday releases because I can more easily mooch both copies off someone. 0w0

Hmm, what DO you think they will do for this release's cover/photo shoot? Something amazing to be sure but what level of spectacularness? x3
 
hi guys 🙂...uhm...can I join you here? 😆...I started to listen to Despa maybe a month ago but ow I love them soooo much 😍 I can't imagine a single day without them playing in my mobile phone or PC 😆 actually I listen to them even at this moment :D...animal mania...I've never heard such sexy animal-like sounds in my life :D
anyway I'm so excited about the new single...I'm starting to count the days 😆...hmmm and about the photo shoot...well who knows...but I bet it's gonna be something great 👍...

Tsukasa IS cute, but my hero is Zero 😍...but actually I adore all of them...really...they are all soooooo adorable...😆...but on the otherside I agree Tsukasa has a d**n original hairstyle 😍...he looks just great 👍
