There isn't enough of a following for big tours and people don't buy freaking merchandise so they probly can't afford it anyway. And like 90% of jrock fans are anime convention nerds already.
 
Well, why didn't you ask that question like the last 5 times they have played anime conventions? It's not like it's something new for them!

i didnt ask them the last 5 times because i only discovered them at the nyc concert? so its not like it was something i could have done...?

and the nerdy anime people i know dont like jrock.....maybe its the people i live around.....

I doubt a band is going to prefer playing in a ballroom at some convention hall opposed to an actual concert venue. However, they will make a lot of money at a con and will have an opportunity to interact with fans, so I'm sure they enjoy that aspect of it.

they could haff thought that because one of their song titles has the same name as an anime songs name... i can't remember the name now...

and to what the person above said, the nerdy anime kids around here don't like jrock either. xD
 
I've finally managed to listen to some D'espairsRay. I liked it. I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm lost where to go from here though. What to listen to next.

It's like Japanese music is specifically designed to confuse people.
 
haha parker :P u can do 1 of 2 things....ask friends that lsiten to almost the same type of music as u and ask fors suggestions or.....look up random bands and people and um.....buy or dl and see if u like it...

i know i asked this on the deg thread......probably being repetitive to the point of annoying u people......but i got a reason for asking that ill explain later down the road.......does anyone know who is running of managing the despa concert at the convention? or the concerts in gerneral at the convention? maybe contact info?

yea i had to change it lol one of my friends is the director of registration for AnimeNext and asked me to change it bc it wasnt completely official yet. even though jhousrock posted it on their page and stuff...

i know the convention is a weekend thing.....is despa playing on all 3 days? or just 1 day or whats going on? T_T
 
I think they're playing on Friday night... I doubt they're playing the other days, arn't those for like autograph sessions, photo things, and then isn't there a Q&A thing??

Yeah, it'll be something like that, they haven't said what day they're playing on though.

For SugoiCon, they played on a Friday night and also had a photo/autograph session earlier that day. Since they seem to only be doing one show this stop, they probably will spread out the D'espa events during the whole con weekend. Which is kind of a bummer b/c I'd much rather do other things in Jersey then spend the weekend going to and from an anime convention.

I am dreadfully sorry for barging in on the thread like this, but there was a post a few pages back (pg 87 perhaps?) by a poster (terribly sorry for my memory, but whoever it is should know who you are) asking about the Pervy Profiles... That was posted by PK (AKA pinkkillerkisou). I myself have been around since the 'early days' of the thread and enjoyed her profiles immensely. Lately however, we have both... drifted away it seems.

I am willing to re-post and quote her on the Pervy Profiles though. They were highly amusing and they were good to read. However, it shouldn't be up to someone else to re-post something previously posted. It's really simple to go to the first like... 3 pages of the thread and read the posts there. In my opinion it is a little lazy and... in a way, selfish? to ask for a re-post of that sort of thing.

I don't mean to upset anyone, I just wanted to speak my mind. Freedom of speech, ne? Anyways, I shall re-post the PP's if they are still wanted. I don't know much of what happened after that post, I was just scanning through the last 5 or so pages.

And another thing, if anyone wants any of their merch (meaning PVs, live mp3, backstage videos and the like), I am willing to upload them to MU or RapidShare. (YSI hates me :eek:)

Now I shall leave you all and the thread to your merry-posting-ness unless I am called upon to upload something or.... something. XD

OMG, they're playing at CBGB's!!!!

I'm so excited for them, I know Karyu said he really wanted to perform there.

Now I kind of want to go to that show instead of the stupid anime convention, but I want to give Karyu his present (which happens to be related to CBGB's) before the CBGB show there ... damn, I guess I could always go to both.
 
did u see the survey on jhouserock.com asking which event u would attend this summer.....yet there is no "all of the above" or combinations haha

im gonna try to go to all of them.......let me know if u guys wanna join me ill be driving to all of them since its farly close mabe a train for nyc... i dont wanna pay for parking in the city T_T (cheap and poor from all these concerts)
