I never buy Christmas gifts :D I'm actually guite unfestive when it comes to Christmas... I especially hate the Carols.... *glares*

Anyways... I bought the regular and limited editions of [Coll:set] and they're both sexplendid 😍 _^_ *is listening to regular edition now*

I'm buying some stuff soon... and then again in February/March ^^

This is gonna turn into the same thing that went on with me and pk 😌 :LOL: But then again, perhaps it will not.

OMG I can't get past the live of Grudge from the Coupling Tour *is dead* It'll hurt if I change songs.... Even if it's another D'espa song... it'll still hurt :( I love my D'espa so much....

If they don't, I may be a little disappointed.

I think I'll be taking a break from this forum next week...(POISONxIVY, sunsweet, you with me? Let's start a walkout lol). Seriously, though, it's not just this thread, but this entire forum has gone down the drain during the past week or so. So many people who feel the need to brag, lie, etc. or flood threads with put-downs and fuel arguments. I used to have fun reading and partaking in Jref, but now it just puts me in a foul mood. This thread was the reason I started posting here, and I'd hate to leave it behind just because a few people are ruining my forum experience. There are about a handful of people I adore here (and at least one I'm madly in love with now, haha don't ask Tiff)! Anyway, I'm sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I just had to vent!

Private messages would really help a whole lot!

Oh, and I think Karyu is chewing on some bacon (not really, but that was the first thought that came to mind). :LOL:

I feel the same way as you (which you already know since I see you like 15 hours a day everyday of my life ha ha) I do like Jref a lot, but I need a break or I might go insane (yes I think this board could make someone go insane lol) Sunsweet will be visiting for a week, so I am sure we will all get a much needed break during that time.

I love D'espairs Ray. Out of every Japanese band I listen to, they are my favorite. Their style of music is perfect for my tastes. In American music it is hard to find a harder style of rock/metal that can mix in a good singing voice (and have talented musicians!) and still sound great (and have good screams as well!) Hizumi does a great job, heck the hole band really does. The fact they only have one guitarist too really amazes me. :30: for Despa!

It's sad that everyone wants to take a break from here but I understand and I feel like taking one to... though I really don't want to have to... :( Every so often though the forums get crazy like this... :mad:

Well... I get the feeling they do but the image and the fact that they are 'jrock' hold a good portion of the appeal to them... :unsure: this is something I just can't understand because I never thought this way... :cry: the image is just icing on the cake... I really care about the music... and it doesn't matter what language it is or where it comes from... :unsure:

well it's true... people want bands to stick around but they won't support them by buying their stuff... and don't think they make their money off concerts because in reality they just make a small fraction of the profit... bands can't continue to make music if they don't have the money to back it up.

Ohh... and I bought the limited edition Coll:Set cd... so don't go thinking I'm just saying that and not buying their stuff in reality... I love them and I'm supporting them as best I can right now! :p

I support D'espa.. I've bought both limited and regular editions of [Coll:set], murder Day and I'm about to buy -GEMINI-, Garnet, and BORN... I try to do everything I can to support allt he bands I love... But one such as myself can only do so much, unfortunately. We can do what is within our reach, our efforts may be pitiful, but it's worth it.

I am extremely passionate about music... So passionate, that I have songs in 13 different languages, and I love it all. People who don't like the band for their music, isn't being truthful. If you don't like the band for the music, and you do like the band for just their looks, then why do you like them in the first place? Popularity points?

It's stupid how so many people seem to like some bands just because they look cool... Appreciation seems to have gone down the drain and it hurts. It seems to be what's happened with quite a few bands, Japanese or not. If they look cool, then they'll be accepted, whether or not the "fans" actually like the music. It makes me worry about all the great music there is, and what will happen once the bands/artists figure out that no one likes them for their music...

They'd probably stop making music.......

When I first heard D'espairsRay I had no idea what they looked like. When I saw what they looked like, it was just an added bonus! I don't care how good looking someone is, it still has no impact on their music. (I think Miku of An Cafe is the most adorable thing in the world, but I can't stand his vocals!)

My sister and I usually share CDs, but we each bought [Coll:set]. I also bought the Murder Day DVD for her birthday, and since she already knows about this I can mention that I got her something D'espa for Christmas as well. (I'm sorry, it's not Tsukasa's squash with a bow tied around it!) We both paid for premium tickets to their concert, and for 2 Polaroids each, so I think we're doing our share to contribute to their funds haha. I always feel bad about getting a lot of my imported music illegally, but some of it is really hard to find, and also very expensive. I intend on purchasing CDs or DVDs when I have the means to.

I bet you anything Karyu is eating edible underwear! 😊

Sadly, I have never had any dreams about D'espa. 😭

Phew jeez of course I love their music! D'espa, MUCC and Dir are my top three J-rock bands without question. But I can't for the life of me remember how I got to listening to them or even what was the first song I heard! 😲 I just know I had a handful of their songs and I loved them, and so I got Coll:Set when it came out and - aaaaaaaaaaaaaarhhhh! Died! :bikkuri:

Since then I got their whole discography. 😄 I don't have any of their merchandise, though... :(

Hey Polly, thank you so much for those mp3s! At least... my comp says it downloaded them... I haven't tried to listen yet... I hope they work OK. :unsure: I am sick this weekend and that cheered me up! 😄

Oh, and thinking of T-shirts, there is a company that makes T-shirts with a velcro bit on the front and a selection of fabric letters... and you can change the letters to spell out what you like according to your mood... I sooooo much want one of those! :giggle: *has pervity in mind*

Why is this thread like 10 pages longer than the last time I was here? I was gone for, what, a day? Anyways, yeah, Jref has some interesting stuff going on lately, so maybe a break is good. I'm coming to visit you guys tomorrow, so we can have our own fun *wink wink* :64: , haha, j/k.

So back to D'espa. Supporting bands is good, but sometimes it's really hard when it comes to J-rock bands. I bought Coll:set and Murder Day and some concert merch from Jhouserock, but I eventually plan on buying as much as their discography as I can. With bands that I really love, I try to do my best at supporting them by buying what I can from them. So with, D'espa, Diru, Laruku, and MUCC, I've bought as much as I could afford. I wish America had easier access to the music as well, but everyone should at least TRY to make an effort to support the bands.

Oh, and thanks for the Karyu pics everyone, about what he's eating, edible underwear sounds good, haha, edible underwear sounds VERY good...

Yeah, it's always difficult to buy stuff and support the bands... I have like some priorities because you can't buy everything. :(

Hmm... edible underwear... that sounds much better than anything else guessed previous.

I want to hear Karyu sing... That would be interesting to say the very least.
