+D'espairsRay+

I was just thinking about this today, what's everyone's favorite D'espairsRay songs?
My top 5 would be *this is so hard*:
1. Yami ni furu kiseki (BORN mini-album version)
2. Gensyoku [or Genshoku depending on the romanzi(ji) that you use]
3. Infection
4. Reddish -Diva Version-
5. Quarter Void (followed closely by Dears, I LOVE [Coll:set])

Anyone else?

My fave D'espa songs?
It's like asking a kid to pick their favorite thing in a candy store...
I'd have to say, in no specific order...would be Yami Ni Furu Kiseki, Forbidden, and Garnet.

Awww :( I hope you two feel alright... losing a pet is hard, you get attached to them. I would know... though, not with cats; I'm allergic 😌 I know how you feel, and I hope you'll both be alright. No one likes having to say goodbye to someone close; family relative or beloved pet.

That is such an unfair question to ask. :( I love all their songs... if I had to choose favorites *laughs* it'd be them ALL! I really don't like when someone asks a question like that...

Has anyone been trying to get more people to like D'espairsRay? I know I have... I've gotten about 6 people  Small number, but contributing to the D'espa NA Mania! We should make a list of people we've recruited to being
D'espa fans

Alright... In no particular order...

Laena Anderson
Caitlin Sparrow
Jesse Paches
Casey McClaughlin
Cindalee Petersen
Stephanie Daly
Tedra Elliot
Krishlene Mudaliar
Richard Barthel

Hmm... more than 6 people  Not enough people though. Must..get...MORE!! 🧟

X3 I got one friend of mine hooked on em...

Lisa Higashiuetoko

Er...that's it though...

 Oh boy, you need to get more people interested! And I thought my list was small... No offense of course😌

You'd be surprised how few people I know who even like J-rock to begin with. It's kinda sad.
I hear more My Chemical Romance than anything else (nothing against them, I just hate some of their fans, even though I'm not that into that music at all), I think people at my school need to listen to stuff besides "punk" and "emo" music.

I am one of like maybe 4 girls (unlucky me, I go to an all girl school ) who likes Japanese music, Jrock most especially. Everyone else listens to sh*t like hip-hop and other crap that's just HORRIBLE. It hurts my ears. They listen to bands like Good Charlotte, and Simple Plan, etc.

And then there's the "emo" and "punk" which is stupid. Labels to begin with are stupid. I hate them. I hate the music that seems to be forced into my ears during certain classes... one of these days, Jrock will be more popular in Canada than other NA music... if you can even call what we have here "music". Tehre's no VARIETY!!! I need variety to keep interested. Not repetitive lyrics, music, and SINGERS!! I mean what?! That's all we have, SINGERS. They don't do anything to try and instrumentalize their voices to make the music more enjoyable. We don't even have MUSICIANS!! *smacks self*

Anyways... *cough* I'm being unfair, I know. But as a general, I hate NA bands/artists/etc. because they're all the same and basically copies of others... in my opinion. There are very few NA bands/artists/etc. that I will actually listen to without complaining that they have no talent.

I listen to many other languages other than Japanese as well....

Sorry, got kinda into the reply... 😌

I've only managed to convert one person (my best friend)... well other than people online... I've recruited a bunch of those 😄 😎

@AP: *covers her ears to stop the bleeding* you are mentioning that crap in the D'espa thread 😲 *ties herself down to restrain from beating you*

Thank you all for the condolences. I probably wouldn't be taking it as well if it wasn't for the fact I'm seeing D'espairsRay on Friday. Also, I work for my friend who is a cat breeder (that's where I got Bowie from) and she is going to replace him for free. I don't know how soon we will get another kitten. We might have to put our Siamese to sleep and our kitten Ziggy might have the same virus Bowie had.

I have a silly question to ask. Do any of the members wear heeled shoes? I'm already taller than a couple members without shoes on and I wear big heels. I was trying on outfits today (I'm leaving for Cincinnati tomorrow) and my sister laughed at how tall I was and told me I will have to get a photo with Karyu. I couldn't decide which individual member I wanted a photo with. My friend jokingly told me I wasn't nearly obsessive enough to be considered a fan of the band. I told him, "How can I choose a favorite member? I haven't even met them yet! I don't know who's personality I will like best." He said, "I don't think you're supposed to be judging based on personality." I then went on a long rant about looks and that's when he told me I was putting way too much logic into this and could never be a fangirl haha. I finally decided I would get a photo with whatever member's outfit went best with mine lol. :giggle:

Sounds like as a good a way of choosing as any! :giggle: Hehe... I think maybe you'll know by instinct... lol, there are some good things about being a short-***... *sigh*

Hmm, it's too difficult to choose favourite songs! I couldn't do it... but I do have a particular love for Forbidden, Garnet and yste[M]... oh, and Abel to Caine... and Hai to Ame... I'll stop already!

I haven't even recruited anyone... yet... :( I don't know anyone who likes jrock, except for Furan and she likes D'espa already... BUT I am going to convert someone I work with... she asked me to send her some music, so... She has to love D'espa! There is no resisting the power of Forbidden........... 🧟 :D :D :D

Yaaay! *picks candy out of hair* Think it's the first candy I've received.

Aww, Pinkkiller, you're making me cry as well. That guys hould have had his head bashed in. (The truck guy).
Four of my closest friends are fan girls. By boyfriend and a few other of my friends joined together in 'Men against j-rock'... that speaks for itself.
Other than that I know one goy who likes j-rock(but I'm not sure which bands) and one fan boy who loves them.

I'm not sure whether or not they'll be wearing heels, that's a good question.

I'm contemplating wearing heels, but I think I may stick with a kitty heel (like a really short kind of faux heel) or just some black gym shoes. It doesn't matter as much with me because I want to get an individual picture with Karyu in the first place (I'm in love with him 😍), but since I'll probably be getting pics with the whole band I don't want to be like towering over all of them. Plus, my hair adds a couple of inches to my height as it is. I do think, however, that the matching their outfit with yours thing is a good idea since you can't decide which one you prefer. I'm going to assume that your sis is going with Tsukasa as her pic, lol. As far as my outfit, I've been trying on so many things today, but I think I finally am just going to go with a fitted black hoodie (it's so cute) that has this cool gold pattern on the front of it some jeans and a black hard rock cafe shirt underneath. I wanted to wear a black corset-style shirt, but I couldn't find one that fit me right, plus I ran out of money so I just had to go with things that I already had. For my hair I'm still deciding between a huge afro puff or if I should tame it down a little and put some twists or something in the front. Okay, I'm putting far too much thought into this, lol.

OH, and I didn't say before, but I'm sorry to hear about your cat

It sounds like you're going to have an amazing time! If it was me, I'd probably be out shopping with my very last available cash for an outfit! 😎 I'm hopelessly impractical... I love pvc but it's hella hot  you need something with a reasonable level of comfort for a live. :-)

Your assumption is correct lol. Initially I had leaned towards Hizumi. I love his voice. Until my sister started telling me, "Karyu is going to like you." We are both perverts, so I guess it works haha. Then it became more of an issue of height. Not that it's important, but maybe a bit awkward (not for me, I like my height, but maybe for the poor Japanese man I'll be looking down upon).:-p

I had already decided on what skirt I wanted to wear the minute I found out their tour dates. At first I was going to wear combat boots, so I wouldn't be as tall, but I said screw it and decided to go for style instead. Last night I decided on a shirt to wear and now the outfit is complete (and a bit risque).:liplick:

I have another silly question. I don't know much Japanese, but I have been learning a few words and phrases to make communication a bit easier. Etiquette and customs are confusing me. I know the language isn't as formal or proper among youth, but I don't want to offend or make myself look stupid. I am aware that compliments aren't usually given in Japan unless as encouragement (such as telling someone their Japanese is good). I am so used to giving compliments, though, and would like to compliment the band if I have a chance to do so. I also read something about not using direct eye contact or physical contact. How the heck are you supposed to flirt then? lol :lover:

My view of comfort differs greatly from the average person. I find jeans extremely uncomfortable and rarely wear pants (unless they're vinyl). I will be wearing a PVC skirt (though it's barely long enough to even be considered an article of clothing, so I don't think I will get hot, but hopefully others will).:devilish:

Sounds great! 👍
You're lucky to be tall... I have to be careful with short skirts... they have to be really, really short for me to wear them. :D Mind you, I'm opposite from you, I rarely wear skirts, except on occasions that require rapid access.

Well, I'm only 5'7", but with my boots I'm 5'11". I used to be like that, I hated skirts and dresses and only wore men's clothing lol. I think a D'espairsRay live is the perfect example of an occasion that requires rapid access. In fact, I have a skirt that has been nicknamed Easy Access. It is short, PVC, and has a zipper going all the way down the front with crisscross laces over top. I considered wearing it for this event, but decided the skirt I chose is way more deserving of the title Easy Access. No zippers, no laces, only buckles and a slit on each side that goes all the way to the top. 😲

I wish I could help but I am not far enough into my Japanese studies to teach you how to flirt properly in Japanese. :giggle:

I had another D'espa dream if anyone cares :? Only Karyu this time... it was weird... we were hiding in my grandma's house in the bathroom like I used to with my cousin and sister when we were kids... and I was telling all about my childhood and how I spent everyday at my grandma's and even lived there for a time when I lost my house... I've never really shared what my childhood was like with anyone... so strange that it would be Karyu I swear I can rarely have a practical dream  I told him how if you stand on the edge of the tub and look around the corner where the wall juts out and open the cabinet and look inside you can see all the way to the other side of the house so he did and I went to the backroom because the house is separated in two... it's almost like two separate houses if that makes sense and I opened the closet in "the prayer room" and told him to look down and he could see me... haha... and just stupid little stuff I used to do when I was kid... 😊 I had a weird old fashioned childhood... living in that whole house more than I did my own... and we got introuble for everything... I told him he had to be good while he was here and don't get caught if he wasn't (:giggle:) or he would suffer possibly the worst punishment imaginable... when we were kids and we got introuble (which was between 5-7 days a week ) she would sit us all down and give us a "world-wide sermon" ...we called it that because they were so long... and so boring... and she made up all these stories and scenarios and people that by the time she was done you thought she had named every last person on the planet... and then we got separated into different room and we got rotated into the playroom and you had to sit for foreverrrrrrrr and study the Stations of the Cross... it was this blue felt oval that had coins with pictures of all the stations on it... you could not take your eyes off them for one second or you were punished longer which made everyone punished longer... but whoever wasn't in the room would crawl past and check on whoever was in the room... I dunno I just went on and on about things like eating waffles with powdered sugar for breakfast everday and the time we broke into this old apartment and saw the yellow footprints on the stairs and swore it was haunted... or when we were convinced we weren't allowed to go behind the shed because there was a body burried back there and there was no body... only poison oak and we all got it XDDDD ...and he just ate every word of it up like it was a movie or a good book or something... 😊 Poor Karyu... having to listen to my whole life story :( :D

I was always kind of embarassed cause I thought people would make fun of me... I grew up like I lived in the 30s or something 😌 Maybe that's why I had the dream :?

*****
Ohh, and aren't skirts in general "easy access" ...it's there sole purpose for being I do believe... :-)

Tiffany (aka me) will be giving direct eye and physical contact if given the chance :devilish: . When I think of D'espairs I don't really think of them as being 'traditional' in terms of customs, but then again I could be wrong and make a complete a** out of myself. Somehow, though, messages such as 'please be more and more indecent' make me think that they'll be okay with a little bit of flirtation.

:devilish: I LOVE IT! Hmmm... I think I may have to step up the sexy factor

*goes to closet*

Yes, the members of D'espairsRay can be raunchy, but I don't know if this is just part of their act, or if they are like that in reality as well. There is a big difference between stage persona and everyday life. Hopefully I'll be meeting their stage persona's. :D

Perhaps I'll just skip the flirting and go straight to, "Shikkusu-nain-de shiyo." 😍

:giggle: @ PKK's dream. Sadly, I have never had a D'espairsRay dream. Considering the majority of my dreams are sexual in nature, this is a great disappointment. The only Jrocker who has had the privilege of that type of dream is Miyavi (and twice). I made out with Kyo once (but woke up before it went any further). A couple days ago I had a hilarious dream involving Hyde. I will skip all of the details and go straight to the action. I had him pinned up against the wall inside of a dressing room. I said, "You look so hot right now!" and started kissing him passionately. I then nibbled on his earlobe and moved my way down to his neck. I tried to bite it, but he was so much shorter than me and there wasn't much space in the fitting room. So, I said, "Hold on, let me take my shoes off." and then the dream sequence skipped and the next thing I knew I was taking a shower. ☔
