Hello ...I'd like to know which of the following kanji character is the correct one for daughter please...
 
息女 is pronounced sokujo while 娘 is pronounced musume. Both are correct, both mean daughter.

But one is obviously more common and captures the general meaning of "daughter", correct?

Yes, I agree with orochi.

"Sokujo" is honorific form of "daugher" and is used strictly to refer to a daughter of another party. It is used most commonly in the form "go-sokujo" (honorific form of "your daughter"). Since it is very formal, it is rarely used. I think that younger Japanese prefer "go-reijou" rather than "go-sokujo" as honorific form for someone's daughter.

"Musume" is used most commonly to refer to "my" daughter or daughter from the objective perspective. It is also used simply to mean "young girl." The meaning is understood from context.
 
Reijou has the added nuance of being from a wealthy family, too, though, right?

Yes, that's right. Since such honorifics are "exalted" forms used to refer to someone of higher status, it can be used synonymously in many cases. I think that's the reason for "go-reijou" becoming common these days.

Personally, I prefer "go-sokujo" because reference to wealth is "uncouth" (or should I say "vulgar") for my generation... 😌

My conception of お嬢さん is also that it is works to define a Japanese "young lady" as we say in English as well as those women as daughters.
 
I cannot see which characters you are posting ...would 1, 2, or 3 be most applicable for me in referring to myself as my parents' daughter?

Not having ime installed and playing around with kanji not being able to use dictionaries... I think Orochi hit the bulls eye lol.
