Couples Onsen

I'm planning a trip with my girlfriend to Takayama and we would also like to go to an onsen on the same trip, somewhere in Gifu or maybe Nagano. We would like to go to a shared private onsen and would like to do so on a budget.

Any suggestions?
What should I be looking for?

If I'm not mistaken, a kashikiri is a private pool which couples can share...

Some love hotels have onsens But they're basically a tub with onsen water......

Here in Kagoshima I know you can go to private onsens - even private lottenburo's .

Is your girlfriend Japanese? If she looks on the internet she'll find lots of information.

If you can read Japanese, this site will help you find hotel with Kasiriki Onsen for couple.
Some hotel won`t charge you on Kasikiri Onsen.
It depends. weekend or weekdays....during a campaign or not.
You`d better to ask when you make a reservation.
