Contraceptives in Japan?

I'm going to Japan in a month to stay with my girlfriend, so I was wondering if I should take my own supply? She sugested that I should, as she said they might be too small??? Is there a size diffrence compared to the UK? Also I heard in some other thread that Japanese condoms were'nt good quality???... Is this true?
We were planning to go to condimania, but if any of this is true doesnt sound like a good idea to me. Many apollogies if this is in the wrong place, or not suitible for this forum. But this is a genuin questing, so no offence to anyone. Please dont mind the spelling either.

They have normal size to larger, but the condoms in Japan have little lubricant, and aren't of that high quality. You better take some from your place.

If you like a certain brand, take that.

There is not a single thing wrong with Japanese condoms. Considering that you can stretch a latex condom to fit over your hand, or even your head, I don't think getting it where its supposed to be is going to be an issue.

Japanese condoms are awful. They may lead the world in electronics, kawaii Hello Kitty bags, and tentacle rape cartoon porn, but definitly some how messed up the whole condom thing. That, and deodorant... unfortunately, two things you'd like to be able to pick up somewhat spontaneously if need be.

Uh, no. Back in my school days, condoms were sold behind the counter and not too many (if any at all) would buy them for such "creative" endeavors, just for the intended purpose.

Condoms are great. They keep stuff afloat (as I have already mentioned), they keep stuff dry (like firearms or electronics - neither like being submerged), they can be used to get drinking water (the old stick it over a leafy branch trick), they can be used to contain liquids (drinking water). They can be used as the elastic in a spring trap for small animals, or to cover wounds (such as weeping blisters on feet - not optimal, but better than foot rot). And they can protect you from STD/Is, as well as an unwanted pregnancy. I don't know why there is such an "oh, I didn't know there where in my shopping, cough cough, ummm, but, yeah I'll take 'em anyway" attitude towards them. Just don't try making water bombs out of them, they often bounce instead of rupturing - personal experience.

Someone has been in the armed forces I'ved used a condom as a water bottle on a survival exercise, didn't taste the greatest but better than going without

These are probably the thinnest condoms in the world, and just about the only non-latex condoms that you can find in Japan (personally it's a convenient combination). Give them a go
