Hello all.
I've been away from online Japanese language forums for about 5 or 6 years now, although I have a good Japanese textbook, reader, and dictionary library and have continued to study.
From one textbook there is a short article that has information I don't understand.

I'll post it verbatim. The only context given is that it is a self-introduction a student named
王蕾 is giving in a Japanese language class.

『私の名前はオウライです。中国から来ました。オウは王様の王ですが、私は皇族ではありません。ライは花のつぼみという字です。「オウライです」と言うと、よく友達から「発車オーライ」とかかわれます。皆さんも電車に乗るときは、私の名前を読んでください。発車オーライ、結果オーライのオウライです。よろしくお願します。』

Is the 6th sentence--皆さんも電車に乗るときは、私の名前を読んでください--a request that Orai is making to the students in the class to whom she is making her self-introduction, or is it used some other way?

Also, I do understand the associations suggested by 発車 and the homonyms (I think) 往来 andオーライ, but I don't understand why オウライ in the 1st sentence changes to [発車]オーライ in the 5th and 7th sentences. Sentence 7 is an explanation, but I don't understand the explanation.

どうぞよろしく。

It's the former. She is just kidding.

オーライ is not 往来 but "all right".

オーライを英語で・英訳 - 英和辞典・和英辞典 Weblio辞書

発車オーライ is a call for departure said by the conductor or driver, meaning "(all aboard, so) it's all right to leave the station".

You've probably got it figured out now, but just in case...

The student is using those expressions simply to give her classmates a way to remember her name.

First of all, my apology for my tardiness in response. Posted the question and then went on vacation to San Francisco and rudely forgot I had posted the question. DOH!
Really, your insight in this really makes sense. I hadn't ~even~ considered 和製英語(外来語(?))
