Hi
Hope someone can help - I would like to say the Japanese equivalent of "If you want to[verb]..."
e.g. I know one version of "if buy" is 買えば and "want to buy" is 買いたい but how can I express the verb part of "if you want to buy?" かいたえば?(買いたいなら?)or making the verb a noun like 買えるのをすれば。。。。。
Thank you!

I think yes you can use なら after any tense of たい but I believe you can also use the ら ending as well as the ば one e.g 買いたかったら or 買いたければ

Each may have a different nuance that I am not sure of though, cause I'm a learner. I have seen たい conditional forms in all these ways though.

-ba conditional
買いたければ

-tara conditional
買いたかったら

-nara conditional
買いたいなら/買いたかったなら
