Could I change it into ちゃ? That would rule. Here's an example just in case of confusion: 公平でなくてはならない 公平でなくちゃならない This is a long shot and I've been wondering it lately.

T tobata 後輩 Joined 22 Jan 2003 Messages 16 Reaction score 0 5 Dec 2003 #2 ちゃ itself conveys the meaning of てはならない here, so you can just say 公平でなくっちゃ. (A small つ is needed.)
