My suggestion to the siteowner of Japan forum is to give an indication on the front page next to the chat link, the number of person currently online ex. chat(13), this will tempt people to click and use it. Otherwise people will always think that the chatroom is empty.

The Use For This Thread......
goes back a ways. If you felt like going to the chat room, you posted here so people would know you were ready & waiting. Now there is a box on the opening Forum page that tells who's in chat. This thread is handy if no one's in there and you want company to join you. We should try to keep this thread bouncing up to the top, maybe it will make the chat room more active?
