Chat dead?

I tried to use the chat function today and got a 404 error:

HTTP Error: 404 File Not Found

The document you searched does not exist or has been moved or deleted.

Could this be caused by the server move?

The document you searched does not exist or has been moved or deleted.

* Please make sure that your browser's cache has been properly emptied. Erase any old files that may still be cached in your browser and reload the page you tried to access.
* Filenames and subdirectories are case sensitive, the folder /About is not the same as /about.
* Filenames and subdirectories only consist of alphanumerical characters, such as . (dot), - (dash) or _ (underscore). All other files may not be retrievable by web browsers. Please note that spaces in particular are not allowed.

There is an error !!

Yes, it seems to be dead.

The chatroom has had problems with forum upgrades in the past. I'm no expert, but that is quite likely.

Please be patient until the admin troubleshoots the issue.

Actually, we are going to remove the chat, as it's been hardly ever used. Ashikaga-san's PalTalk sessions are probably more popular.

Also, as we are going to upgrade to vB4 in the near future, we were supposed to disable it anyhow.

Oh, no, Ashikaga's Paltalk chatroom is a random thing, especially since he can't make himself available every week.

Maybe he should be passing around the Paltalk admin code for others to open it when he's not available.

That's kind of sad Even though I haven't used it much recently it's still sad to see it go. Oh well. Thanks for the update!

If you would like to host the "JREF Japan Forum Room" on Paltalk, please shoot me a PM and I will give you the admin code. In order for someone to open the room, they must be on my "Pal List". Please add me (ASHIKAGA) as your "pal". Then, follow the instruction below.

Opening someone else's room as an administrator

ﾂ?｡Select 'Join a Chat Room as Admin' from the 'actions' menu on the main pal list window.

ﾂ?｡Select the room owners nicknameﾂ（ASHIKAGAﾂ） from the dropdown menu.

ﾂ?｡Enter the admin code and press the OK button.

ﾂ?｡The room will open and you will have use of a full range of chat room controls

If this sounds too much of a hassle, just create a room of your own and announce the room schedule on the Paltalk chat thread.
