Now then, who has seen this film?

I haven't but it looks amazing,
its based on a manga....but to be really honest i haven't heard of it.
Anyone shed some more light on the subject.

That movie is freaking weird! Allow me to elaborate: ...it's just freaking weird. I didn't really like it.

I liked it... and I didn't find it very weird... after having seen Audition, I can't really claim this was weird..

There's a very basic message about being persecuted for being different, aswell as getting a craving for revenge because of it.

It spoke about how horrible war is and such I guess... the messeges it was trying to convey feels alot like what American television and cinema was trying to say in the eighties, and I guess Japan is just getting that far now.

But in any case, the fight scenes were nice and I thought the main character was an unusally good actor for being Japanese (no offence, but some of the worst acting I have ever seen was done by the Japanese. The actors of Japan must be looking at Buffy the Vampire Slayer to learn how to act.)

i liked it.. how ever i saw it with no subs.... and a download from internet ( Dont get me you cybercops...i havnt done anything)

i think it looks pretty Kakoii!!!!!! and i heard from some friends its not bad either....

your still in your mind with audition mac? KIDIE KIDIE KIDIE KIDIE

Ooh! You should definitely see it! Casshern is awesome - as you say, its based on a manga and it shows!! The movie, even though it's real life, is built up like a manga or anime and the way the fighting scenes are filmed is just amazing! All the surrounding and the (already mentioned) fighting scenes in the movie is really cool and makes up for the (not too amazing) plot. It's a good movie, or at least a really cool and beautiful one...

I know it is currently on cinema release in Britain, but as with most foreign films, it is finding a place that show them. Would like to see it.
TwistedMac if you thought Audition was weird try Uzumaki. No needles, but damn weird. Mangas just as strange

we never have j-movies in the cinema... :(

just 1.5 month ago there was a filmfestival in rotterdam... and they showed around 10j movies... including cashern.. but i didnt had money, and transport ☝

i think the wallpaper from cashren is really awsome... !!

Uzumaki freaked me out more than Audition though >_< Like in I got scared :x

So I guess it did achieve what it set out to do.
