Cardcaptor Sakura, is it over or not?

New to the anime world I fell upon the tv serie of Cardcaptor Sakura and on the spot became my favorite.
After 2 weeks of Cardacaptor Sakura gourmandizing, 70 episodes from the tv serie, the 2 movies, 3 ccs diarys and last but not least a cool clip with the king him self Kero.
Im now starting to crave for more of my newly found and precious drug.

Does anyone know if there is some news or rumours of somthing new of ccs coming,,,, :?


Some tips on anime that are similar to ccs?

What's wrong with it exactly ? I just use it to practice Japanese, but it's pretty much the first and only anime video I've ever watched.

Sillage: Are you only interested in anime, or might you be interested in the manga (comic book) forms of the stories as well?

I doubt there will be anything new made that's specifically CCS... that's had its run. The closest thing you'd be able to find might be the two new manga series from CLAMP, xxxHoliC and Tsubasa... especially in Tsubasa you actually follow the story of an "alternate reality" Sakura and Li. I don't know if there'll be an anime of these stories made, though...

Aside from that, you might have some luck with some of the other stories written by the same authors, the four-member group known as CLAMP. Magic Knight Rayearth or Clamp Campus Detectives might appeal to you, or feel free to check out any CLAMP titles... but they write some pretty diverse story styles, so you might not like all of their work.

CCS was CLAMP's "take" on the magical girl genre of anime/manga, so you could also check out some other titles of that style... I'm not really into that style too much, though, so it's tough for me to make any specific recommendations. Maybe someone else reading here could help you out more on this topic...

To some others in this thread, no disrespect but it seems kind of weird to take up space here discussing your dislike for CCS. I could understand if the question was, "I heard about a show called Cardcaptor Sakura. Is it any good?" The poster is soliciting opinions there... but Sillage already mentioned how much he/she liked the show, so why waste time telling him/her that you hate it? Like I said, no disrepect but I don't see the point.

Anyway, sorry I can't be of more help, Sillage... hopefully my meager suggestions can be of some assistance.

Mo Im not found of manga yet, Im still just learning to like anime. Before I hated anime and manga, but with an asian girlfriend that just loooves to watch anime and I have to sit besides her, so now I like it
I know of the CLAMP manga comics, Iv searched the web after some cute ccs toys and other stuff to give to my girlfriend, so I stumbel over quit a few of them...

But i will check the other of their stories, maybe there is some gold nuggets that Iv missed...

Now I will se if I like FLCL, seems kinda wako fun, anime with a little frensh touch....

I lookt at the japanese wersion with english text, I usaly dont like dubbed versions of movies/anime ans so on. It takes the magic out of it...

I think you might like Chobits which is also by clamp. Its the same kind of cute storyline and is beautiful animation. It is both in anime and manga.
