I am looking into studying abroad this next spring semester before I transfer from community college to university next fall. I found a specific program that I would like to go through, but the price is a little ridiculous to me. It is about $11,000-12,000 a semester. Now, I'm limited to how many more units I can take before admission into uni, so I can't even take much more than two courses if I were to go abroad. I can't see anything justifying the astronomical price for what I don't consider much. In my case, they're going to tell me I have the financial means to pay for this even if I applied for something like financial aid, but I really don't want to waste money I don't have to. Is there anything I can do or am I stuck paying prices like this no matter where I try to go?

That's about par for a semester abroad. You can use financial aid and apply for scholarships to take the cost down.
