I've never seen kids locked in a car with windows rolled up, but I have come awful close to breaking a couple of car windows of people who left their dog in the car without air. Both times they came out a split second before I bashed their windows. Each time they got major sh*t from me.

Yea, it was very stupid of them...
But look on the bright side: Here in the USA, we have child care experts who do that. There was a story not too long ago where a child in Desoto, Texas (a suburb of Dallas) smothered to death because he was being punished on a field trip. He was made to sit in a bus for four hours while the temperature outside was 37 celsius. :auch:
Not surprisingly, the parents have sued.

Kind of reminds me of this situation, which happened in South Korea...

In a story out of Korea, which is just now surfacing in the Western press, a couple in Incheon, South Korea, were arrested last week when their 4-month-old daughter died after being left alone by the couple for hours. The mother and father reportedly had gone to a nearby Internet cafe, lost themselves in playing Blizzard's massively multiplayer online PC game World of Warcraft, and returned to their home only to find the infant dead from suffocation. "We booked the pair on criminal charges, judging that when you consider the situation, they were responsible for their daughter's death," a policeman told the Chosun Ilbo newspaper. The couple reportedly told police, "We were thinking of playing for just an hour or two and returning home like usual, but the game took longer that day." The infant was the couple's only child.

Stupid dumb-a$$ people like these should never be allowed to breed...or, if they do have children, should offer the child up to adoption rather than go through this: 'tis not the first time this has happened in Japan, and it's curious how many more have to happen before the government bans parents from doing this practice...

The parents told the police they returned about 10 times to the car to check on the baby, but did not feed her as she seemed to be asleep, but at around 9:30 p.m. they realized something was wrong. This is called murder and at the very least manslaughter. In the United States, you could be charged for manslaughter for doing this.

They see the children probably as "jamakusai" and "urusaiyatsu". Many people don't know what they are getting into when they have children. They need to be going to jail for manslaughter if they bring children into the world, and neglect them. In today's society, no one forces you to marry and have children. If you do so, one must put the child first over their own entertainment. I do realize that many are not ready to do this, but they must be legally disciplined.

It's a common saying that "Dogs Die in Hot Cars", and it is even a band name, but people seem to forget that it can happen to children too. I was left in a boiling car (at my own request before anybody says my parent are irresponsible) last year... but then again, I thought I could unlock the door. It was only when I realised that the owner of the car had DOUBLE LOCKED the door, that I realised I was trapped, burst into tears and almost passed out from the heat.

Still, I hate seeing babies in cars on their own on car parks. It's stupid parenting and the parents should be told... or shot...

The Us government does not withhold information on SIDS or what constitutes care or neglect for babies based on your color. Actually in Wisconsin you get extra if you are a minority, it's being white that is getting to be hard.
There was just another case of a woman placing her 11 month old in her gas oven (turned ON!) because she and her boyfriend had a fight. Neglect of children happens in all countries for many reasons, mainly stupidity, arrogance, ignorance and selfishness. It's a me first world we live in and everybody is out for themselves and their happiness first.
