hai.. I want to backpacking around japan in June, i have 2 weeks for to do so. but i already living in japan since january in Osaka, so kyoto, osaka and nara will be not in my backpacking route. but i am really confuse to chose where i wan to go because there are too many great places to visit. is anyone have a recommendation for a place to visit outside kyoto nara & osaka? in the south there are himeji and hiroshima. in north nikko and tokyo
oh ya i also only backpacking in honshu island only.
thank you for the attention...

Have you considered the wonderful nature that good ole Shinano has to offer? Yes, this is the heart of Japan, the roof. . . where the wasabi is as tingly as it will ever come! This is Nagano...the Japan Alps, the backpacker's paradise !!

Have you ever been here? For starters, I'd say try for Kamikochi ! It's a great area.

thanks

thanks mars man.. i never been to there, thanks once again.
do you ever heard about shukubo, temple lodging? i want to try it. Its like living and stay over in temple rite?
next month i will go to tokyo for 1 week, i will go to nikko probably.
and i want to watch kabuki, where can i buy the ticket and where i can find the place to watch it? sorry to storm you with so many questions..

How about Shikuku? It's not so far away from Osaka, and I heard it's a very nice place to see nature and stuff like that. They have enough temples there... Search for the Shikuku temple route.

thanks maybe i will visit shikuku in coming weekend...
