So do they celebrate Halloween over there or is that only an American tradition? I'm not up to snuff on my history but wasn't All Hallow's Eve or something based off Winter's Solstice, Pagan celebrations, and all that jazz in Europe or am I totally off the mark? Thnx in advance for the feedback.

Your thinking about "SAMHAIN"
This is the summers end and the beginning of the celtic new year, affirming rebirth in the midst of darkness. It is named after the Aryan lord of death, SAMANA, The leveller or grim reaper, leader of ancestral ghosts. Samhain - pronounced 'sowen', is a night for divination and revealing of mysteries. The veil between worlds is at it's thinnist.

It is a time to honour death, grief and loss and celebrate rebirth and the cycle of life.
