Hello. (oh my god, these are too cute XD)

I'm part of a one-person scanlation group, and my grasp on the Japanese language is haphazard at best. I'm self-taught, and basically learn through a few books, one or two online references, and by attempting manga and doujinshi translations.

Anyway, I think I've done okay so far, but a few things have been throwing me off, and I'd just like to double-check and make sure I haven't butchered the language too badly. I appreciate whatever you can do to help me. ^^;

First:
ๅฟ˜ใ‚ŒใฆใŸใใ†ใ„ใˆใฐใ•
ใ“ใ„ใคไฝ•ใงใ‹ๆ—ญใฃใฆๅๅ‰ใชใ‚“ใ ใ‚ˆใชใƒผ

I know ใใ†ใ„ใˆใฐ means "Now that you mention it" or "That reminds me". ๅฟ˜ใ‚ŒใฆใŸ means "forgot", right? "(I) forgot, (but) that reminds me"?

The second line throws me off because I'm not quite sure of ไฝ•ใงใ‹ and ใชใ‚“ใ ใ‚ˆใช, and I've never quite got the hang of the function of -ใฃใฆ.

I'm pretty sure ๆ—ญ is the name of a currently unnamed character.

To doublecheck:

ๅฝผใฎไบบ้–“ๆ€งใ‚’ๅฆๅฎšใ™ใ‚‹ใ‚ˆใ†ใช
็™บ่จ€ใฏๆƒ…ๆ“ๆ•™่‚ฒไธŠ้ฉๅˆ‡ใงใฏใชใ„ใจ
...ใ€Žใใ‚Œใ€ ใงใฏใชใใฆๅ…ˆ็”Ÿ
่ตคใ‚“ๅŠใงใ™

I have translated as:

Denying his humanity with that type of speech doesn't seem to an appropriate sentiment to be teaching. He's not a "that", sensei. He's a baby.

็ขบใ‹ใซๅƒ•ใฏ

I have translated (roughly) as:

(I'm certain) Asahi and I have a relationship much like a married couple, regardless of the fact that we're (our personalities are) basically day and night, but having a child isn't possible.

ใ€Žใฏใชใ—ใพใ€

(ๆŽˆๆฅญใซใชใ‚‰ใ‚“)

I have translated as:

Hanashima
I don't care where, but please put the child somewhere else.
(If it's in class)

ๆฅใ‚‹ใชใฃใฆ่จ€ใฃใŸใ‚‰ใ‚ใ•ใฒๆœฌๅฝ“ใซ
ๆฅใชใใชใฃใฆ
...ใณใฃใใ‚Šใ—ใŸ

I have translated as:

When I said don't come back, you (asahi) really didn't come back.
...(I was) surprised.

I know it's a LOT to ask for at once, but I'd be terribly grateful if anyone could help me check/translate any part of that mess.

Thanks so much! ^^

I was going to look at this yesterday - but I wasn't in the mood after being half-poisoned by a curry.

ๅฟ˜ใ‚ŒใฆใŸใใ†ใ„ใˆใฐใ•
ใ“ใ„ใคไฝ•ใงใ‹ๆ—ญใฃใฆๅๅ‰ใชใ‚“ใ ใ‚ˆใชใƒผ

I know ใใ†ใ„ใˆใฐ means "Now that you mention it" or "That reminds me". ๅฟ˜ใ‚ŒใฆใŸ means "forgot", right? "(I) forgot, (but) that reminds me"?

Not sure either ...
"I'd forgotten but now you say that, well. There's this guy named ๆ—ญ-or-summit-or-whatever."
or
"I'd forgotten but now you say that, well. This guy's named ๆ—ญ-or-summit-or-whatever."
(I think the first one).

ไฝ•ใงใ‹
not very familiar to me either.
ใชใ‚“ใ ใ‚ˆใช
ใช ใฎ ใงใ™ ใ‚ˆ ใชใ€‚
First ใช is from ใ  - it's only there because ๅๅ‰ใฎใ ... would be 'belonging to name' and because in ๅๅ‰ใ ใฎใ  (and such like) ใ 's turn to ใช.
ใฎใงใ™ / ใ‚“ใงใ™ is covered in a recent thread in this very forum.
ใ‚ˆ - 'emphasis particle / giving information new to hearer'
ใช - another emphasis particle. Don't ask me the nuance - I forget.

and I've never quite got the hang of the function of -ใฃใฆ.

Here it's a straight forward equivalent to ใจใ„ใ†. There are lots and lots of ใฃใฆ pages out there in Google land - try a search for ใฃใฆ, ใจใ„ใ†ใฎใฏ, japanese and grammar.

Denying his humanity with that type of speech doesn't seem to an appropriate sentiment to be teaching. He's not a "that", sensei. He's a baby.
Look OK to me.

็ขบใ‹ใซๅƒ•ใฏ

(I'm certain) Asahi and I have a relationship much like a married couple, regardless of the fact that we're (our personalities are) basically day and night, but having a child isn't possible.

Not so good. "Certainly Asahi and I flirt/make-out with each other like a married couple day and night but having a child just isn't possible."

ใ€Žใฏใชใ—ใพใ€
ใ‚‚ใ†ไฝ•ใงใ‚‚ใ„ใ„

(ๆŽˆๆฅญใซใชใ‚‰ใ‚“)

I don't care where, but please put the child somewhere else.
(If it's in class)

I just don't care any more.
Get that child taken care of somewhere else (it won't do to have it in class)

When I said don't come back, you (asahi) really didn't come back.
...(I was) surprised.

Maybe shocked rather than surprised but basically OK

What is a "that", sensei ? I don't think I understand the word order, here. Why isn't it ...ใ€Žใใ‚Œใ€ ๅ…ˆ็”Ÿใงใฏใชใใฆ่ตคใ‚“ๅŠใงใ™ ๏ผŸ

Because that would be
"That" isn't a sensei it's a baby.

...ใ€Žใใ‚Œใ€ใงใฏใชใใฆๅ…ˆ็”Ÿ่ตคใ‚“ๅŠใงใ™ just looks more like "It isn't that, (as an explanation) instead the sensei is a baby. Although maybe the original poster as more of an idea what a 'that' sensei would be.

Not in the context given. It's not a 'that' sensei.

ๅฝผใฎไบบ้–“ๆ€งใ‚’ๅฆๅฎšใ™ใ‚‹ใ‚ˆใ†ใช็™บ่จ€ใฏๆƒ…ๆ“ๆ•™่‚ฒไธŠ้ฉๅˆ‡ใงใฏใชใ„ใจ...ใ€Žใใ‚Œใ€ ใงใฏใชใใฆๅ…ˆ็”Ÿ่ตคใ‚“ๅŠใงใ™ใ€‚

It's clearer with a couple of commas added.

ใ€Žใใ‚Œใ€ ใงใฏใชใใฆใ€ๅ…ˆ็”Ÿใ€่ตคใ‚“ๅŠใงใ™ใ€‚

ๅฟ˜ใ‚ŒใฆใŸใใ†ใ„ใˆใฐใ•
ใ“ใ„ใคไฝ•ใงใ‹ๆ—ญใฃใฆๅๅ‰ใชใ‚“ใ ใ‚ˆใชใƒผ
ใ€Œไฝ•ใงใ‹ใ€is equivalent to ใ€Œใชใœใ‹(somehow)ใ€, i guess.
still, i don't really get the meaning of this sentence, though....

ๅฟ˜ใ‚Œใฆใ„ใŸใ‘ใ‚Œใฉ
ใชใœใ‹ใ“ใฎไบบใฏๆ—ญใจใ„ใ†ๅๅ‰ใชใ‚“ใงใ™ใ‚ˆใญใ€‚
it's easier to see what it means if you transform spoken language
into written language...

Goodness, I didn't expect this much help. Thank you so much, everyone! You all did such a great job even though I didn't really explain the context for a few of those phrases. PaulTB had it right about the commas, I was lazy and just didn't type them in when I was transcribing from the manga. ^^;

Again, thank you so much everyone for teaching me a few new things and for making my job that much easier. ^^ And for those who are interested, the manga I was/am working with is titled "ๅฅฝใใ˜ใ‚ƒใชใ„ใ‘ใฉๆ„›ใ—ใฆใ‚‹", a shounen-ai manga by Mashiro Minamino.

Thank you!
