Hey people, im new to the forum, and signed up a few days ago, but i have a question for some certain people,

Have any of you JUST now either started or finished learning Hiragana and Katakana and want to learn with people on the same level as you? im talking like, either in the middle of Hiragana and Kata or just finished. Well if you do, PLEASE reply to this thread, because i will keep note of EVERYONE who wants to do so, and i will design are own forum so that we can all meet at a specific time in the week, and study.

Please remember that you will HAVE to be able to revise with the rest of the community atleast once a week IF the forum goes up, and i will be telling people on other Japanese forums to join in the forum when it is released. God Bless you people, and hopefully i find some people around the same stage as me.

How do you envision this forum-based kana study group working? What on earth could you possibly do except ask each other which kana you've learned so far? I'm not trying to be a naysayer. If you've got an idea how to do this in a practical and productive way I'd love to hear about it. My imagination when it comes to this sort of thing is sitting down with a list of the kana and learning them solo. I can barely imagine what good it would do to all be physically present together, let alone what could be accomplished via text online. Everyone just input kana with the IME and have someone else give the reading in romaji? Or is there something more that can be done?

The idea is not bad, but the only thing you can do is sharing materials, if it was possible to do such a thing using a forum, someone would surely use these forums for that purpose i think, but since that isn't the case it is impossible. But than again, you can still use it to share materials, if you manage to make it i might have a few nice links Just pm me.

just pointing out that there are already places for you to interact with other people at the level you described without having to go through the trouble of creating your own forum and trying to direct traffic there by spamming other sites. JREF is a resource for more than siphoning traffic, have you considered that?

Thats a bit harsh, the tone, everyone's just sharing their opinions, if you can't take that you probably shouldn't use forums.
