Any tips for character confusion?

Hello there, I've been learning to write/read Japanese for awhile now. However I cannot seem to get past mixing up some characters, or making simple mistakes. Such as the Hirigana characters 'Me' and "Nu.' I know that there are significant differences with both of them, but I still mistake them. I do the same with 'Ha' and 'Na' as well. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice as to how to stop confusing them? I was thinking of just revising them and memorizing those characters further since those are the few I have trouble with.

How do you mix up ha and na? Anyhow, I think it's just practice the more you read them the easier you will find it to differentiate between the different characters. The ones i found hard were シツ (shi tsu) and ソン (so n), but again , the more I read them the easier it became. It's just practice my friend, not really any shortcut or way around that.

Are you also learning the Japanese language at the same time? Or are you one of the many people who attempt to learn the entire writing system before (or instead of) learning the language?

I am learning both. The program I have (Human Japanese) teaches both the writing system and the language itself. Also the pitch/accent (?) used when words are spoken. So it is a mixture. However I'll just work harder and revise those characters and become more familiar with them.

Hehe, I did have a confusion between (め) and (ぬ), but I have a friend name Như (which can write in Romanji: Nu) who is studying Japanese with me and I realize (ぬ) is the most beautiful character in Hiragana chart . That's a trick to remember huh?
