Do you know about Anna Tsuchiya?
I like her very much. She's got a great voice and she's really beautiful IMHO.
I saw her first in Kamikaze Girls.

She played a head role in the movie 窶堋ｳ窶堋ｭ窶堙ｧ窶堙ｱ
She did a good job with that movie because in my opinion I rather like this movie then Memoirs of a Geisha

Yes it is better movie then memoirs of a geisha (all the characters were chinese Zhang Ziyi; Gong Li; etc...) and the movie was in English

and yeah it is annoying memoirs of a geisha that pretty much half of the cast are chinese when they should have been japanese

EXACTLY!!! You take the words out of my mouth!!
And she was pretty in the movie for someone who is also half mixtured she looks very pretty nice. But there is one thing that annoys me of her it's her Japanese. Sometimes when she say some words it feels like pain in my head

Umm who cares if some of the cast were not Japanese they all did a good job which is what matters. Its the same as an English actor playing a French guy really...

Maybe we should discuss her singing here since this is the music section.
As for me, the best I can say about her singing is that she's better than me.
But she's not too bad in this vid.

Umm who cares if some of the cast were not Japanese ...

Hear hear!! Would there be the same complaints if Brad Pitt played an Irishman, or Ewen McGregor a Canadian. By the logic of having Japanese play all Japanese roles based purely upon national grounds, we'd never find enough Hobbits or Orcs out there to make LoR =)

I agree. Obviously if a Chinese plays a Japanese role it has more political and cultural implications than for instance an Amerircan plaing a French.
