I have a situation and could use some help:
I've been saving for my trip to Japan for a few months now and some unexpected emergencies came up that depleted my funds a bit. Now I'm having to rely on a paycheck that will be direct deposited into my account 2 days after I'm in Japan. Which helps me tremendously but my predicament is, how do I get to that money?
I contacted my bank and they informed me that I could just withdraw the money from an ATM or speak to a representative in local bank while in Japan but I've read that a lot of ATM's won't take foreign cards. Is this true? Any experiences with this? I will also be withdrawing a large amount of money which is fine with my bank but not sure how it will do with Japanese ATM's...
Should I just go into the bank and try to deal with someone there? I speak little Japanese, definitely not enough to converse my situation.
Thanks for any help!!
