A Veteran, but not an Ex-pat

I am a 25 year-old English teacher on the JET programme in Kyoto prefecture. I've lived here for two years, and was directed by Rio Lee after he posted my advice to people living in Japan in order to garner my permission for it.

I wish the best of luck to those of you who are planning on coming to Japan, and I hope that you all have a safe trip and enjoy the experience. Even if you don't enjoy it, I hope you come away with something besides frustration with Japan.

For reference, and before this gets out of hand, my name comes from the movie Pierrot le Fou directed by Jean-Luc Godard, not from Cowboy Bebop which took the name from the same movie as my namesake. Though I have seen Cowboy Bebop. I just prefer to be a French maniac.
